Quality Wireless Card
I have recently been using a USB Wi-Fi adaptor which has served its purpose, but it has suffered from Wi-Fi dropouts and is only limited at 300mbps bandwidth. I needed a faster Wi-Fi card so I could stream and download at faster speeds, This TPlink fits the bill. It has solved my Wi-Fi dropouts and gives a steady connection without any data dropouts, web browsing, downloading and basic gaming are a breeze now and I am very happy with this PCI network adaptor. It’s very easy to install fits most PCI express ports on most PCs, my PC is over 8 years I installed this card without any issues. Overall a decent Wi-Fi card.

OMG I was expecting a fight!
Problem, old PC that didn’t have access to wifi. Managed to pop open the PC side panel, had to remove a usb card to free the port for this card. No power was required for this card. Side panel on again and turned on PC. WiFi was picked up immediately, selected, and password entered. All this in just under 10 minutes. There was no need to find a driver, no need to upload anything. I am quite techy, and expect a fight with most gadgets. This was a breeze to fit and I am very pleased with the price and ease of installation. Top marks from me.

Good card that works well but driver update essential
Installation of the card was simple like any other expansion card, my experience is based on Windows 10 so software issues may not be an issue on newer versions. Straight out of the box the card was detected and installed with no issues and I was able to connect to my network, however every 15 minutes or so it would drop the connection and I would need to reboot the computer to get it reconnected. Checking the device manager I see that the driver windows installed was very out of date (2016) so I downloaded the newest software from the TP Links website, installed the updated driver and I have had no issues since. Updating drivers should be done anyway but I know some people sometimes forget so if you have this card and are having connection drop issues, try updating. Other than that the ecard has been fast and reliable.

Easy to install with good range and fast speeds
Easy to install and works fine with good range and fast speeds. Drivers can be downloaded online and install quickly as well as work ok. Only issue I have is (most likely a driver issue) that they sometimes randomly disconnect from my wifi. This can interrupt gaming or calls but can be fixed by simply reconnecting from the Wi-Fi menu. Please be aware of this before you buy. This card also has a heat sink on it, this greatly improves performance. Overall, a good product that is worth the money.

Works and has 5GHz connection, signal can be bad due to antennas being attached behind the PC
This product works pretty well. I would recommend if you are not too far from the router or the signal is OK. However, in the end I refunded it because: - You can't set it to PREFER 5GHz, you can set Auto - which will usually default to 2.4GHz network, and usually losing a lot of speed, or you can set it to ONLY 5GHz. The latter, however, stopped working after a few days and driver reinstalls and reboots would not fix it. So I ended up not being able to use 5GHz - The antennas are attached only on the back of it, so it ends behind the PC, which ruined the signal for me. An option was to buy better antennas separately, but instead I got the next model up from this one

The average rating is incredibly misleading.
I have recently relocated my home office out of the loft, with a wired connection, to the dining room, with no wired connection. Needing my PC to be connected to the internet and having a small child, I decided to purchase a wireless adaptor for my PC. (Note; I would sorely recommend just forking out that little bit extra for wifi enabled motherboard...). As I needed it quite quickly, I looked at the average reviews, and this ticked all the boxes. Didn't need anything overly fast, and TP-Link was a brand that I recognised, and that has served me well with previous products. Installation of the product was easy, straight in a spare PCIe slot, no troubles. Downloaded the most recent drivers direct from the website on another machine, installed onto my main machine and 1 bar of signal. Not a good sign. Moved the machine, still 1 bar. Checked two laptops in the same location, 4 bars. I did some googling, only to discover that if you search the model AC1200 you can find pages on the TP-link forums that advise to install a different driver, to the TP-Link recommended one. Alarm bells were ringing, how can another manufactors driver work better than the actual companies that is distributing its product under its name. Anyway, because I needed it to work, I downloaded the recommended driver (From 2016...) and it worked. Not ideal, but hey, it worked. That was two days ago. Booted up the machine this evening, and the card was showing me no wireless networks. Tried reseating the card, tried re-installing the drivers, and it worked for a while, and then I had to do it all over again. Frustrated, I looked at the actual reviews, and in about 2 minutes of looking I found two reviews recommending other drivers to install to make the card work, and still recomending the card, I don't understand. To me, when you buy a relatively simple card from a company like TP-Link you expect it work straight out the packet. You do not expect to have to install drivers from other companies such as ASUS to get the card to "work". This is a product still being sold, that a number of reviewers have connection issues on Windows 10, a product that claims to be Windows 10 compatible, yet it has not had an updated driver since 2019. Once I have submitted this review, it's going back in the box and I will be returning the product. Do not waste your time like I have.

NOT compatible with any Windows versions below 10.
If you are buying this in the hope of it working in a PC with any version of Windows below Windows 10 you are out of luck! It doesn't. Regardless of the the incorrect description, driver support for this device is only windows 10 32bit, and 11 64bit. I confirmed this with TP-Link support. Amazon's Rufus will tell you drivers for windows 7, 8 etc are on the included mini CD but they aren't and as the device doesn't support earlier Windows versions they aren't available to download either. The information for this device needs correcting. I now have to return it.

This works really well. I feel the heatsink was overkill but it is what it is, Not a bad adapter card and works well.
