Ubbi Lavender Scented Absorbing Gel Value Pack - 3 Count Diaper Pail Odor Control for Baby Nursery

When browsing for a product that would help control odor from our Ubbi diaper pail, I went back and forth between different brands. I liked the idea of a charcoal filter that would go on the lid, but saw it had to be removed each time you open it due to the structure of the Ubbi pail. I went with the Ubbi brand and I must say I'm happy given the mixed reviews I initially read. We place one of the pucks right in the bottom of the pail and it really does make a difference when opening the diaper pail. Yes, there's still the unpleasant scent of dirty diapers, but this significantly cuts down on the odor-- like I'd say it's more of a fraction of what it was before. For this price, I can't really complain. I may still purchase some cheap carbon filters to adhere to the inside of the pail for extra protection, but I'm very satisfied with this purchase, especially based on the price for a 3-pack.

If you know diaper bins, then you know how notorious Ubbi is of holding onto the smell of dirty diapers. I didnt think I would find anything that would help eliminate the smell of our 4+ year old Ubbi bin. I was very much surprised at how much the absorbing gel works!!! The scent is not powerful at all.....does it eliminate the odor 100% - no, but I dont have to hold my breath when I am opening the diaper bin or taking out the bag.

Seems to do the job. Fair price. Wish it had an adhesive to stick on a cover inside a diaper pail or garbage can lid. Therefore only gave it 4 stars. So far it seems long lasting and not overwhelming scent.

It doesn’t really cover up or absorb with the smell. It’s just lavender scented poop.

These were unexpectedly small, but a nice pleasant smell. They work great in the garage near where we have to store the trash cans out of the bear's reach and I put another one in the dog "doo" container to subdue the smell until garbage pick up day.

We have an ubbi diaper pail and we love it because we can use regular garbage bags with it. However, just like any pail, this has started to smell over time because the pail itself will absorb smells even if you empty the garbage once a week. I bought these, WHICH ARE DESIGNED FOR THIS PAIL, hoping to help that smell. They smell strong and good when you take the foil cover off, but you basically just drop them in the pail outside the bag and it does nothing. You can’t even smell it after a day, and if someone says you have to put it in the bag then that’s a huge waste since you’d be throwing out once a week when it says it should last multiple. My pail smells worse than before and I will never buy these again.

As I’m sure you read, some reviews said it doesn’t cover the poo smell and just adds lavender scent but that’s not true. Let’s also be realistic and acknowledge that you aren’t going to find some magic product to just eliminate the smell of dirty diapers. This three pack is definitely worth the $10 though. Sure, when you open your diaper pail you’re still going to get a faint dirty diaper smell, but before I started using these, I was completely holding my breath and walking away from the diaper pail before letting myself inhale again. Now, there is no nauseating scent filling the room and lingering. In my opinion, these are about as magical as possible for eliminating that foul dirty diaper scent. Ours also lasted longer than recommended. I’ve had the same one in my diaper pale for at least six weeks now, but plan to replace it today. Buy them.

I use these in my mother’s diaper pail and also in the bottom of our kitchen garbage can with an automatic lid. They make a big difference; the odor is noticeably lighter and much easier to manage. While they don’t completely eliminate very strong smells, they do a great job of keeping things fresh overall. They also last longer than I expected, which makes them an excellent value. I’ve purchased them twice now and will definitely keep buying this product. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with persistent household odors!

Our SIL lent us her Ubbi pail but it wreaked after being stored closed for a couple of years. I cleaned it throughly, and then when we started using it…man, it would stink up the baby’s room, and start to linger throughout the house (very very foul smell lol). We discussed buying our own new Ubbi and starting with a stink-free one but I think they all likely start to stink fairly quickly be/c of the enclosed space. Enter these - wow, they actually work! I haven’t used it for a month yet so can’t share if they last that long, but I will keep buying these! Also PS. We started with the rival brand (DG) but the Ubbi pail is honestly a way better product - we aren’t shoving our hands down the DG trying to get the diapers to go down to the bottom of the bag anymore. Ubbi pail and these deodorizers are the cat’s pajamas!!

The idea is great but honestly it makes the smell worse. Lavender and poo isn’t a good combo. We stopped using it

This is great for strong odors such as those from learning incontinence

They say they work for 4 weeks but they only work for 2 weeks maximum. You can stretch them out for 3 weeks but there is a bit of a smell in that 3rd week. Just not worth it to buy the ubbi diaper pail
