We have had two cheap imitation temp probes in the past and they were ok but when the last one died I wanted to try an actual thermapen. The fold out one was quite expensive so I though I would try this model. It’s great! Well made, easy to use and almost instant. It has a nice plastic probe guard which is good to protect it and you (the tip is sharp). The quick temperature result is impressive and makes it a lot easier to use than our previous probes. In summary, if you want a temperature probe, buy this. It’s not much more expensive than the imitations and just works really well

I've had this a couple of years now and been very happy with it. I'll be honest, I'm a bit manic in the kitchen so it's been dropped, washed and chucked about a bit. It even sat next to a very hot bbq and the screen turned completely black. I thought it was a gonner but once it cooled down the screen returned to normal. It is very reliable and the screen remains super clear and readable.

Easy to use by removing from the handy rigid holder. Feels solid although not bulky. Used in the kitchen for ensuring correct temperatures are achieved after cooking.

Excellent product with good accuracy

This is a great thermometer. It gives instant readings with a real fine probe. Inexpensive too.

I've used a few food thermometers now and I can say a few things about this one - It is very accurate and fast - It's battery life so far is great - It's easy to clean and is water proof unlike the Heston Thermometer which is not water proof and the battery compartment rusts. - It comes with a cover for the thermometer. This has been great for making sure the thermometer stays clean in between uses. I've used this to make steaks, measure the temperature of liquids, fry chicken etc. all with perfect results. You can't go wrong with this budget (but great!) food thermometer.
