I just put mine in the currency compartment with the bills. Works fine.

There is no zipper compartment. For paper cash, there are 2 classic billfold compartments (one has a secret pocket).

I put 4 in mine as soon as I got it and didn't have any problem- 2 on each side. I think there supposed to be tight so they don't fall out.
