'Twas Nochebuena Review: This was the most spectacular gift I bought for my Niece! - My sister in law is from Mexico, and my brother is American. This was the perfect gift for their new daughter. They were so thrilled to see the words they use at home sprinkled throughout the book. Also, lovely illustrations, and the quality of the book feels great as well. Perfect gift, and an even better book. Review: Well-done twist on the classic - I love that there's a glossary in the back, the rhymes are good, there's lot of Spanish words, and many traditions are included (some of which I'd heard of, some not).

I love the culture in it!
I read it to my 3 yr old and she really enjoyed. Although it has a great flow with select Spanish words like: tamales, posadas, pollo, champurrado, piñata, etc. I tried reading in all Spanish since she is learning the language. It’s beautifully and accurately illustrated. I recommend it for you Christmas/Winter/Cultural Collection!

Fun!
Fun book. Fun twist on Twas the Night Before Christmas. I loved the references to tamales as we grew up eating them on the border of Mexico in Arizona.

Beautiful artwork and clever writing make this a perfect Christmas find
This is the cutest little Christmas book! The art work is beautiful and the poem is so cleverly written it flows just like the traditional "T'was the night before Christmas" original. We get a new Christmas book each year and our family is learning Spanish and this has the perfect balance of English and Spanish to reflect our learning process right now. We love it and read it many times this holiday season and will enjoy it in the years to come as well.

Absolutely beautiful book with lovely images. The text flowed well. I used this in primary schools and children were captivated. Handy glossary at the back too.
