Avoid this filter
I installed this filter and immediately noticed a bad taste. I followed the instructions to run water through the filter but the taste was there from the start. I am very disappointed with this filter. Purchased February 28 and removed April 3. Do not waste your money. Without this filter installed, my water tastes good. I have ordered a different in line filter and I will install it tomorrow April 4.

This was a great buy for the money. It was the exact same part number that I was going to order from Watts and found them on Amazon for half the price. Great deal.

I don't notice anything special about this carbon finishing filter. To me, a carbon filter is the same as any carbon filter. For simpler and quicker installation I put a quick disconnect on each end. Oh yes, after connecting it to the water feed line, let it rinse out into a bucket to get the excess carbon before connecting it to your refrigerator line. I bought instead the Watts 5 year/20,000 gallon filter for a few $$$ more.

Installed in minutes. Use as a sediment filter before my water distiller. Make sure to connect water line first then run some water through it into a bucket before final installation. A fair bit of filter material washed out first but the.mn it was perfect
