Gosh, this is pretty
I didn't really want a plastic pot, I was looking for clay. I'm in southern AZ and plastic tends to heat up too much in the hot sun. But I couldn't find the size and shape I wanted in clay, so I decided to take a chance on this seeing as how it's not 100% plastic and maybe will have better properties. I got the light taupe color to avoid soaking in too much heat. It does feel like a very sturdy plastic but I'm hoping it will have a little more breathability. In any case, I did drill a bunch of holes in the bottom to ensure drainage. I don't know why other people seem to be having a hard time drilling holes, my drill went right through it with ease and no cracking at all. What I really love about this pot is that it really does look like clay, not like plastic at all. I have an actual clay pot that is the same light brown color and this looks almost exactly like it in texture. It's really beautiful and I don't have to worry about breakage as much as with a clay pot that cracks if you even look at it funny. If it doesn't work out for live container planting, I will definitely find other uses for it.

Great quality faux stone planter pot
Great quality & realistic stone finish but diameter was not large enough to contain the overspray of my solar fountain! Had planned to use it as the collection bowl for my fountain but the outer ring of spray landed outside of the borders of the pot & onto the ground. So, I used the pot for it's original purpose & planted some flowers that hummingbirds love- lantana, cuphea llavea aka "Bat Face", zinnias etc. & they were a hit with the hummingbirds! If you want to use a planter pot as a water collection bowl for a solar fountain I would suggest buying at least a 16" pot.

No drainage hole
Pretty bowl, but no drainage hole, also not super light weight

Real-looking and functional for 3rd floor balcony
Great pots for my very small balcony. I bought 2 artificial 15" boxwood "balls" to sit in these 12" pots (says 8" planters, but they're 12" diameter). Because my balcony is only 5'x10', I needed SMALL and lower to the ground. The green balls sit perfectly--lovely to look at, actually! The terra cotta color looks authentic--light weight, easy to move around. I will drill a couple of drainage holes in each for rainwater to escape. Happy with my purchase

Good price, good product
I have no idea why these are getting poor reviews. These are perfect for tabletop planters or hanging pots. It is very easy to drill holes as needed. I am using them as three holed hanging pots for starting trailing plants. Good price, good product.

Good bowl, bad paint and finish.
As expected, the bowl feels "plastic", which in turn feels sturdy enough. It measures to the sizes that were described as well. My only issue is the color/pattern... or should I say lack of any. The color is a nice brown-red brick, but it is perfectly smooth, no color or tone variations. To me, it seems like they forgot to "finish" the product... or the machine was out of the ink wash. I'd return it, but I really can't be bothered; the color is disappointing, but it works... it's 'ok'. If the color/pattern/style matters to you, be warned, you might have to send it back for a replacement.

Very sturdy and good quality
I am using it for putting my floating lotus light decorations. Pot is very sturdy and heavy. It does give the feeling of terracotta. Good value for the price and for my purpose worked as expected. Happy buyer!
