Melissa & Doug Happy Handles Wooden Stamp Set: 6 Stamps and 6-Color Stamp Pad

Granddaughter loves sending pictures. I found a cute mailbox and sent her writing tablet and envelopes. These stampers embellish her pictures and decorating envelopes. She can entertain herself with set as well. Melissa and Doug have nice wooden cases for toys with small parts which helps child put their things away so they can find again!! Nice for parents that too.

So much fun for my kids. I like the box it comes in. I wish the ink boxes were a little larger, but it works as described.

My daughter wanted to put it on her hands and arms, it does not transfer there welll. So win for me, but it did transfer to paper just fine. The pad is easy to use and the stamps are easy to wash. The rubber on the stamps are sturdy. The stamps are a easy grip for little people to hold on to.

I love the fact that these stamps have a handle, as so many wooden stamps do not. However, it would be much better if they were also self-inking. I bought this set after searching high and low for "fun" self-inking stamps for the office (the standard red inked "Entered" was beyond boring), and the excitement was palpable when I ran across this set. Once the set was received, the excitement wore down quite rapidly as the ink pad that is shown in the picture, was dry as a bone, and a trip to the store was needed in order to use the stamps. I don't know why "fun" self-inking stamps have gone out of fashion, to be replaced by the bulky square wooden, and all the awkward wooden stamps. If versatility of ink color is an issue, rather than a child's-watercolor-set of ink pads, have a strip of individually packaged cartridge-ink-pads!! This is just my opinion, I could be wrong.......but I bought two of these sets, and both ink-pad-strips were completely dry and a waste of money.

My 4 year old granddaughter likes to be involved when the older grandkids and I do scrapbooking. She especially loves to stamp. So when I saw these I thought they would be good for her. The handles are nice for little hands. Plus the picture shows them what they are stamping. I knew a Melissa & Doug product would be good because I have been very happy with everything I've purchased from them.

This product is really great, I actually got them for my nursery students and they absolutely loved it, it has an excellent grip and the quality of great.
