Classic Vibe '60s Jazz Bass

What I like about this bass: 1.) Quick fast delivery and packed well. 2.) I swapped out the strings for flatwounds, and it sounded authentic and balanced right out the box 3.) That authentic Fender P sound. 4.) Vintage looks were appealing, and the instrument felt good in my hands. The neck was an improvement over what I felt was the baseball bat version of the Fender P's I had played early in my career 5.) Swapped out the Squire Pickups for Bartolini's...and woomp, there it is. Tone for days.. Although I must admit the stock pickups were fine too. 6.) If you are a beginer, you can't go wrong with this bass. As an experienced musician, I find them wonderful and at that sweet spot price point. They are worth a lot more. Dislikes: 1.) Not many. I notice the frets could be a little more smoother on the edges.. If I was someone to do frequent slides.. it would sting a bit.. But thats minor for me. 2.) Really, I don't have anything I can say I dislike about this. Squire has come a long way! The vintage series both Chinese and Indonesian are great instruments. I have four between the two series, and perhaps at some point I might get the 50's P bass Squire..

Wow....ummm I've been a bass player for 20+ years. I've owned dozens of basses. Several $1000+ basses but this one ....is the best one I've ever gotten set up with perfect intonation and truss rod calculation. It was de-tuned, but that was it. If you are using $200+dollar heaphones, then sure, maybe it will sound different than an American Made Fender, but otherwise, it sounds just as good. I have zero regrets getting it and I may use it more than my other basses now.

Finish is perfect, no blemishes at all. The guitar needed a setup but should be expected when it hasn’t been handled by a music store. Neck relief was off but adjusted easily. The intonation wasn’t set but no issues fixing that. If you don’t know how to do a set up, no time like the present. All steps can be learned via YouTube. Pickups are tolerable, but will be replaced. Frets are 4.5/5 on how they are dressed. If you want a good starter bass, you can’t go wrong with this one!

Great bass and very fast shipping. If you are looking for a good bass at a fair price this is the one for you great sound right out of the box. Thank you Sweetwater I will be back.

I play guitar and wanted something to record bass. This has been solid. The wood, hardware, and general construction seems pretty solid. HOWEVER, I did have to file the fret ends and do a setup (it was buzzing like crazy when I got it and the fret ends were long enough to leave tiny cuts on my hand). Overall is a good instrument for the money but you will probably need to set it up or take it to someone who can.

I never write reviews so that should already tell you something. I ordered this same bass from the fender website and fender sent me a broken one so I returned that and bought from Sweetwater here on Amazon instead. Good thing I did because thanks to the folks over at SW, Christmas came early. 10/10 and bonus points for the candy (To anyone complaining about shipping, check the fedex app. App let me know the moment the label was created)

I was sent a used model from 2021 with a bowed neck and horrible string buzz on E string. There was a also a HUGE fender circular sticker plastered on front that was/is impossible to taked off. It stripped the plastic pick guard shield. There was no one from Fender to help. Same company that renigged on model i bought a year earlier and the never delivered it or responded.

Amazing bass, how sweet the sound! Seriously, i am a happy customer. I've never played a squier built this well and that played so well out of the box. I have been playing a Fender Mexican Standard Jazz bass for many years but it's starting to fall apart. I wanted something new and reliable. This does not feel or sound like a Squier. It's punchy, and is equally as durable. The paint job is sharp too! I am a fan of the classic vibe series. Will likely start a collection

Llegó a tiempo. Limpio, sin problemas. Hasta ahora después de casi un año de tenerlo, puedo decir que es un instrumento sólido, de buena calidad. Llega afinado y octavado. Ya le hice su cambio de cuerdas y fue fácil ajustar niveles. Creo que por el precio que maneja , la calidad de los materiales y la comodidad de la entrega en casa, es una muy buena compra ! Además, recomiendo bastante los jazz bass al ser tan versátiles, se pueden tocar muchas cosas con ellos, incluido slapping.
