Skylanders Trap Team: Cobra Cadabra Character Pack

My son ha grown up with the skylanders series of games and has always loved them immensely. He still does and at this point Imm really surprised tey can keep creating cute characters that the kids all still adore! This one is no exception. In fact it has become a favorite! I can't attest To the in-game skills or powers of this particular skylander, but I can tell you that it elicited little shrieks of joy when it arrived! It's definitely one of the cooler figures and if you're looking to purchase this for a child it will be a hit! Overall it's a great game. If you don't dwell too long on how much money you've sunk into these little toys over the years it will surely provide tons of joy for the whole family!!!

A terrifically fun and extremely potent character. Torch's basic attack is a medium-range flamethrower that does continuous damage when switched on. Once you've purchased the appropriate skills the beam gets stronger the longer it's held. Making sure all your enemies remain in the cone of the flamethrower and don't flank you is one of Torch's major challenges. The secondary attack is a horseshoe toss. Horseshoes that hit stay stuck to the target, and if you take the lower upgrade path you can make them do things like damage continuously or explode. Torch can even animate them to attack enemies independently! The final attack is a pirouette that damages nearby enemies. It's the same thing a lot of other ranged Skylanders have, and is mostly useful as a panic button.

My son loved this character. He has some fun upgrades in the Skylanders Trap Team video game. This is not a Trap Master, so it cannot unlock any of the extra gates to get at the "hats"... if you want to collect the hats. Personally, I feel the hats didn't add much to the game. In easy mode, you can play through the whole game with this character, and beat Kaos. My favorite character for Trap Team was Bushwhack. He was much more powerful. Although this character was a fun change, my son preferred to use Snapshot for most of the game. I know some kids collect these as toys and not for the video game. Shroomboom was solidly constructed and worked fine with the game or a little bit of rough play. The Infinity characters (different video game) did not hold up as well during rough play.

Shroomboom is pretty fun to play in the Skylanders games. He's a giant mushroom who uses a slingshot to shoot spores or himself at his enemies, and he can also summon a ring of mushrooms around himself. It can feel kind of repetitive if you play him a lot, but don't get me wrong - he's still a lot of fun overall and is pretty useful through the games. One issue though, is that he's a core Skylander who doesn't really bring any special qualities to let him unlock special features in the game, so you might want to consider getting something like a Trap Master or Giant if you're looking to buy Skylanders.
