This is a good value. There are certainly better quality pans around, but this one works just fine. Super easy to clean. I would definitely buy this again.

This is a good frying pan. However you do need to clean, season, and then reclean the pan before first use. And it doesn’t come with these instructions - I only knew about the process as I had seen this type of pan reviewed by Americas Test Kitchen just before ordering this. I found the steps by searching “season t-fal nonstick”. I only use silicone implements with this, and the pan gets used several times a week. And it works just as well now as it did when I bought it a couple of months back.

Overall I am a T-Fal fan. I have tried a lot of non-stick cookware in my long life and for me the T-Fal brand seems to hold up the longest. They all fail at some point so to expect the coating to last a lifetime is just unrealistic. Of course it depends on how often you cook and if you use the right type of utensils when cooking - I prefer wooden ones, but you will be replacing non-stick cookware at some point. It is just the way it is. That said, this is a nice little pan. It ended up being a little more shallow than I expected, but it's not a huge deal and does not take away from the five star rating. The base metal is very thick as is the handle material which stays cool to the touch when in use. It cleans up super easy as it should. I expect it will last quite a long time getting used 2-3 times a week. I have no hesitation recommending this pan to anyone looking for a good non-stick 8 inch pan. Update 1/20/22 Been using this pan for almost a year and it gets used at least 7-10 times a week - sometimes more. I make bacon every other morning and just wipe it clean with a paper towel when it's done. When I do happen to wash it, it is done by hand using just a little soap and cloth. I do not and would not use metal utensils even though the manufacturer says it is safe to do so - sorry not buying it. It has been my experience, which I already noted in my original review, that Teflon pans have a limited life span and using metal utensils dramatically shortens that life span. However, I have caught my son doing it a few times which might account for some of the wear marks I am seeing. He also has a tendency to cook on very high heat - although that should not really be an issue. That said, overall this pan it holding up well to regular use outside of the light wear I am seeing - see pictures, and I am a little disappointed since it has not been quite a year yet. But it does get used a lot. Regardless, I expected it to hold up a little better than it has. When a Teflon pan starts to flake, it becomes a health hazard...or at least that is how I understand it. I actually came to Amazon today to purchase the 12 inch model, but now I am not so sure.

Good small egg pan. The thick bottom works great with our IR ceramic stove because it holds a more steady temperature. I originally got it to use with an induction hot plate but it gets used mostly for eggs. It's a little too small for a 3 egg omelet. The T-fal platinum non-stick seems to be one of the better ones. I also got the 12.5" chef's pan. The silicone rubber handles are comfortable. These induction base pans are a bit heavier than the basic all aluminum pans but that's a fair trade off when food cooks better.

My fave little frying pan. :) I use it every day. It's truly non-stick and so easy to wash.

Love this pan. Never a need for any kind of cooking oil or butter. Food just slides around. Definitely high quality, durable, and value for the money.
