I bought this towel warmer for my wife for her birthday; she loves it. It was easy to install. It's very sturdy and heats the towels to just the right temperature. Not too hot, so you won't burn your hand removing the towel. I don't know about the power usage haven’t had it long enough to know. But it looks nice, and it works excellent, was easy to install. What more can I say. I found it to be an excellent value for the cost, but I bought it as a refurbished model, so I am pleased about that.

I was really hesitant about buying this product after reading some negative comments. Other ones that have the similar finish (brushed nickel/stainless steel) are almost double the price. The first one we purchased from Wayfair was the wrong finish so our loss because they don't accept returns. I was thinking, thank goodness for Amazon's return policy in case this doesn't work. We had our contractor install a plug on the wall specifically for this towel warming. Unlike people on this review who had plug integrated with their light switch, out plug was a live wire. HELPFUL HINT - if you have a live plug like ours, we purchased the Amazon Smart Plug. Then you can program times you want it on or turn it off remotely if you forget to turn it off. It gets really hot so don't touch the bars when it's on. We have the warmer turn on an hour before showering and it literally gets the towels cozy and warm. If you accidentally leave it on overnight (we have done this but not recommended), it will get your 100% cotton towels crispy. The power button is a bit difficult to turn on and off because it is coated in plastic (obviously for your safety).

Remodeling master bathroom and with the drywall removed took the opportunity of hard-wiring this and connecting it up to an Intermatic timer. The towel rail heats up really quickly and gets to just the right temperature. Cannot vouch for its durability (installed it in November 2020), but it seems well-made, so hopefully it will prove long lasting. Very good value as well; always a bonus.

I bought this heatgene towel rack not realizing that there isn’t a timer. Instead there is a REALLY HARD TO PRESS on off button on it which is an extreme fire risk if you forget to turn it off. For this alone, I won’t recommend this product. Unfortunately, I had an electrician install this while i was away so I didn’t even realize this was the design until it was wall mounted. It is not possible for me to exchange this without having an electrician uninstall it. So that brings me to the next point - do not buy this if you want to install it yourself. There are no clear instructions and you need to hire someone to do this as there is no plug and it’s made for electrician install. Last point which is different from other reviews saying the towel rack is too hot. I have the complete opposite problem and none of my towels get warm on this. I can touch the bars directly with my hands and it is barely warm. Which means they have absolutely no quality control. Or they should offer a temperature setting. Mine is obviously defective and I wish I could return it for a refund for the life of me. But I’d have to have this uninstalled and I already drilled holes in my tiles. I’d need to find another rack that’s exactly the same size. All in all, this is a nightmare. I do not recommend this product at all and would give it negative stars if possible.

We had these in our prior house and wanted them in our new house. We ran a sperate decicated circuit to power them. Probabaly didn't have to but we were running a lot of new circuits, so the incremental cost was low. They are wired to a wifi switch so that it is easy to put them on a schedule to turn on and off. Used a Levitron 15 amp wifi switch.

Pros; Seems well built-Heats up fast, gets to a good temp, Good size. Cons; I'm pretty handy and have plenty of tools but this was a pain to hang. It would be such a cheap,easy fix to add a paper template. It scratched easy and that's disappointing. Wife likes it, the towels don't get real warm but if you reuse them as we do you will always have a dry towel.
