I was impressed with the quality of the paper (very thick and sturdy, which makes the book heavy as it's a large volume) as well as the content of the writing. The illustrations and imagery are well done and very artfully laid out. You can tell someone put this together with a lot of TLC. My favorite parts are the tip-ins of extra content. Papers fold out in accordion style to show you character sketches from the films or comics. The first issue where Batman appears is included as a tip in as well so you get to relive the feeling of reading the first comic of this superhero. There's even a map of Gotham and a Batman mask that can be detached and played with. Overall, I'm very impressed with this book, which for the price, I'm glad it was worth it. I am also very happy with the added content, especially from The Batman, bringing it up-to-date. It's an entertaining read and has tons of visual eye candy to please any Batman fan. A must have for Batman collectors.

Amazon Book Buyers Beware
This is a big beautiful book with so much amazing content. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't see it as worthy enough to package it into a box with proper shipping materials. It was placed into a loose box where the book was able to slide around and the corners of the book were damaged. If I buy a brand new product, especially one as expensive as this, I would at least expect some care to be involved...

Great gift for Batman Fans
Bought it for a Batman fanatic as a birthday gift and he loved it

Impressive + comprehensive.
Remarkable for how comprehensive it is, including a near complete history + summation of the key narrative arc(s) of all of the Batman comics up to today. That alone would be really valuable but the authors give the same treatment to all of the film + TV adaptations from the beginning up to the modern age (including the newest film starring Robert Pattinson) + the video games as well. Filled with great art from the comics and little seen pre production work from the films, accompanied by insights from key creators from all and peppered with fun pull outs and mini booklets showing scripts, fold outs showing art iterations and other fun ephemera. Batman fans will get lost in this happily for hours. If you were going to do anything creative with Batman yourself on assignment this would have to be among the Bible material to have handy.

This Is a Big Honkin' Book!
The size of this book is impressive. You could knock someone out with it. It's 2" thick. It's full of information, pictures, and all kind of inserted goodies; and is a great resource on all things Batman. However, it seems to be more geared to a younger reader, which, for the money, I wasn't expecting. If you're a Batman fan, it's probably essential as a symbolic representation of your loyalty to the Dark Knight. Though I'm a bit disappointed, I'm still glad I bought it.

Le livre était bien protégé dans un plastique. Il y'a néanmoins un coin légèrement écrasé, mais cela ne se voit presque pas. Le livre a beaucoup plus au fan de Batman a qui je l'ai offert. C'est vraiment une encyclopédie de Batman !
