Had many a movie nights with this projector for years short throw to where I didn’t have to have a huge room to have a huge picture

Je cherchais un vidéo projecteur essentiellement pour film et jeux vidéo, j’en suis très satisfait, l’image est somptueuse: contraste, temps de réponse , pas d’image fantôme... j’en passe tellement ai été bluffé. Le son est de bonne qualité mais assez faible, donc je ne l’utilise pas. Certain ce plaignent du bruit produit par le vidéo projecteur, je fait parti des gens qui mettent « le son fort » surtout quand je regarde un film sur grand écran et je n’ai ressenti aucune mais aucune gêne, Pas encore testé la 3D.

Matériel encore au top 4 ou 5 années après son achat. Passer d'un écran télé à une vidéoproj sur écran c'est faire cinéma à chaque fois ;-)

I mainly bought this project because I wanted a short throw projector, with full 1080p (not 4k). I have a 100" screen and the projector is about 5' from the screen. This projector has a very nice, clear, crisp, and bright picture. The fan isn't very noisy either. We use this too watch about 80% of all our entertainment. (DVD and streaming) This has also worked out great for 3D. Although I've had this project for about 1 year, I just bought 3D glasses and a couple movies. This project IS equipped with DLP-link so any DLP-Link active glasses will work. This is my second projector and we have a dedicated theater set-up in the basement that is totally light controlled. One problem with our set-up is we have ductwork right where a projector would typically be mounted on ceiling. This being short throw makes it possible to mount on ceiling in front of ductwork. For now we just have it on a table. Great super sharp image. Colors really pop. I didn’t notice any issues with brightness uniformity but I’m no video-phile. Zero noticeable lag when gaming on ps4. The speaker is not too bad but we have surround sound hooked up. One thing I did notice is if you have any slight wrinkle in your screen it will be more noticeable on this short throw vs normal throw projector. I’m using a diy blackout cloth screen. So after 2 days use I’m super impressed and would totally recommend this projector. I have to tinker with it a little more and get it hung on ceiling yet. One feature I did notice is there is a setting to select the color of the wall/screen you’re using. If you’re looking to buy this to break out for some quick gaming/movie action and you’re just using your wall this would be helpful.
