Well built rifle
The the Hatsan Vectis PCP .25 cal. air rifle is a good choice. As far as pre-charged pneumatic air rifles go there aren’t too many better than the Vectis. I’ve done quite a bit of research on air rifles and if you’re looking for power, this one has it. I was thinking I wish I’d gotten the .30 caliber but the .25 has plenty, depending on what you plan to do. I’ve seen videos of people hunting with this one and they’re taking down full grown feral hogs with one shot. One thing I can tell you is when you fill the air tank make sure that all of your threaded connections are tight and I highly recommend using Teflon tape on all your threads as it will help to seat the valve inside your air tank and save you a lot of headache in trying to figure out why your tank won’t will fill. if there are any leaks, it’s very likely that your tank will not fill because there’s not enough pressure. Honestly, I almost gave this gun four stars because there’s not enough information in the pamphlet about how fill your tank for the first time. That being said, overall this is the excellent rifle.

Vectis , a gun you have to own.
Out the box nail driver, sighted in at 20 yards using an Inexpensive, Tasco, scope and was hitting 10 rd quarter groups on 1 in spotters , completely destroying it. The lever action is smooth and lighter than I expected . Trigger pull has a crisp firststage with a noticable click before final. 30 to 40 hard well aimed shots before refilling , using a Benjamin hand pump, taking about 35 to 45 pumps to full. Aggressive Tactical look is a awesome eye catcher that can match bull for bull with the best. I plan on tweaking on the trigger a little, but other than that, Jsb Kings are the pellets of choice . For under 400 dollars , Hatsan lever action Vectis is a pcp you have to own.

Great varmit gun
Keep looking! I have been trying to get a pressure release valve for almost 4 months. Back and forth emails, wrong part shipped, part not available, mail it in for repair came back still broke. Look for your next gun at Utah Airguns or Airguns of Arizona., at least you will have a chance for in house repairs.

Definitely serious
I have had this rifle for about 8 months. I am impressed with the accuracy and power. It has helped me get my raccoon problem under control.

Mostly all positives with a few bumps in the road.
For the short amount of time I've owned the Vectis it's been a ton of fun, with a few minor bumps in the road. It's lever action fun and has big time power in the .25 caliber which is what I purchased! Obliterates anything in its path! Here is what is keeping this gun from being perfect: #1) if you are using this gun as a less lethal option for home defense, then do know that the only way to keep the gun ready to fire at a moments notice is to have it cocked which means the gun is constantly "charged" the entire time thus potentially causing wear to inner seals when not in use. The ONLY way to avoid this is to have the magazine detatched from the gun until needed -OR- the alternative I am doing is loading the magazine, having the gun cocked, then firing the first pellet (thus wasting it) and only THEN it's ready to cock again if needed for self defense. #2) The gun came with copious amount of spare O-Rings but the instructions say zilch about where they go to or how to change them out. #3) WHY DOESN'T THE MANUL STATE HOW TO DECOCK THE GUN?? Spent an hour of googling to find out how to decock it and this should be included in the instructions! C'mon Hatsan! #4) THE GUN IS AN AIR HOG. Prepare to refill every 3rd mag!!!The last thing I'll mention is the rear sight that came with the gun had parts come loose almost immediately due to perhaps bad craftsmanship from the factory. I reached out to Hatsan and a replacement was sent hassle-free.

AIR LEAKS OUT WITHIN A MONTH USE
Had this gun for about a month, used it a few times, but now it isn’t holding air. I can’t return it on amazon. Pretty bummed.
