I use three ring binders as I find them convenient to use and access for papers have to reference on occasion. As well, personally, I find working with a file on paper is oftentimes much easier than having to work with a computerized version of the same file. I have generally always chosen a different well known brand for my binders in the past when I needed to get a new one, but that brand's quality has gone down over the years. If I were to purchase that brand's binder new in what is claimed to be their same quality today as 15 years ago and then stood the new alongside the old, the difference would be pretty easy to see in terms of its overall sturdiness and strength, and it would not be the new binder that would come out as the best overall. Thus I decided to try out this Samsill brand of binder in its place. While it is more expensive than other brands being made, I am hopeful that a Samsill binder will hold up better than what the other mass marketed brand is producing today as their best quality binder. I have been using a smaller sized Samsill notebook binder that I have been really happy with in terms of its overall quality and sturdiness, and I am hopeful this larger standard sized binder will be the same, as it will get heavier use and carry more weight so to speak. Beyond its looks, which is pretty dignified and rather formal overall for a binder, its rings seem sturdy and gap free when closed. I expect it to hold up well over time, and if not, I will update this review in the future.

Very nice leather binder. It feels well made, looks sharp with the contrast stitching, and is a great size for 8.5 x 5.5 pages.

I wasn't sure I believed the description of "leather", assuming for $18 it would be some type of faux leather. I even ordered two, just in case one was damaged. But, it does look and feel like real leather! It came with a protective cardboard between each side of the binder to protect against damage by the rings and the binder itself was in it's own protective plastic bag, plenty big to not cause damage to the cover from excess pressure. The stitching is well done and the look is professional and classy, but not stodgy. The rings were not bent and are plenty large for most uses. (A "D" ring option might be nice.) This purchase was a stop-gap for us until custom printed presentation binders are ready for clients. This binder is of a quality that meets our exacting standards for client facing materials. I'd order it again; if only they did personalization and made it in other colors. Excellent value!

This leather binder was a pretty good value for the price. It's hard to find a good leather binder that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and even some of the expensive ones are pretty cheaply made. This one is fairly cheaply made but is better-looking than other inexpensive binders I saw. The stitching is okay. It would look better if it were padded but I wasn't willing to pay for that! I bought it for a coin album so it won't be opened and closed a lot.

I bought this binder to replace the flimsy cheap binder I was using for my sheet music, and I absolutely love it. It’s much sturdier, and made from sustainable materials. The price of similar products can be sky high, but this one was well within my budget. Very professional and stylish, definitely recommend this binder for most uses.

Great! If you like a loose leaf binder for address book, then you will love this! No danger of the spine breaking and coming apart. It is a very nice binder. I love it.

We needed binders for our orchestra music. The hardware had to be well fitting, so page turnings go off without a stammer, heavy enough that wind won't bother it for outside performances, durable, and professional in appearance. So far we are very impressed, these are nice looking binders and the rings fit so pages turn without catching. Time will tell on the other features, but at this point I can highly recommend these binders if you want something classy.
