The Twelve Dancing Princesses Paperback – Picture Book, October 19, 1998

Elder sister was looking for this book in her collection for awhile and she is very pleased that the book is in such good shape.

This book arrived in pristine condition and the quality of the paintings done for the story are breathtakingly beautiful.

This has been one of my favorite book since I was a child, the illustrations are sumptuous and magical.

The 12 Dancing Princesses is a story I read to my 2 girls many years ago. Purchased this copy as a special gift for my niece. Beautiful illustrations and a wonderful fairy tale.

I purchased many years ago for my nieces, and now again for my granddaughter (age 3), and again for a neighbor's child. The prose is too lengthy for toddlers and pre-schoolers, so I have always just "read" the story in a few sentences per page - they are so enchanted by the pictures that it is their favorite book.

I’m not sure why this particular fairytale is not as popular as others, but I have always loved this story since I was a child. This is quite a unique princess story!

This book has beautiful art work and it’s a decent story. The story is like a mini novel though. you’re going to need 15- 20 minutes to get through it so maybe not the best bed time story. It just felt like it went on and on and on.

This is another book that I would have bought solely for the artwork. And this is another book that I keep in my bookcase and not in my son's.Marianna Mayer's retelling of the fairy tale of the twelve dancing princesses is beautifully, wonderfully and movingly executed. Her version is strong enough to stand alone, without any illustrations. That would be a pity, however, because the artwork is phenomenal.K.Y. Craft paints with such brilliance that you can hear the silk dresses rustle and feel the kiss of every flower's petal. And every single illustration is so breathtakingly beautiful and detailed that I, like the princesses, become lost within the tale.
