Worked great for my puking skeleton!
Title: Perfect Pump for DIY Puking Skeleton Decor I used this pump for my DIY puking skeleton setup—the same kind that’s been trending on TikTok and Facebook over the past couple of years—and it worked perfectly. The tubing fit the included adapters without any issues, and the pump provided more than enough power to create a strong “puke spray” effect. It also held up well, running daily for the full two weeks we had the display operating. No overheating, no interruptions, and no drop in performance. We’re planning to use it again next year without hesitation. Pros Excellent power for special-effect props Tubing fits adapters securely Reliable performance over extended use Great value for Halloween DIY projects Cons None experienced during the two-week run

Looks the same, but *seriously* outperforms some of the lookalikes.
Sound level is very good for a pump of this flow. I bought it to use in a Low-Pressure Aeroponics setup - emphasis on learning about LPA without breaking the bank. The outside casing makes it look like about 50 other water pumps carrying various names at similar price points and advertised flow rates, but it puts out more than twice the water of a nearly identical-looking 640GPH pump, and my misting heads can be tightened enough to produce very fine mist without stopping the flow altogether. This little 800GPH pump is likely a little less powerful than it claims, as the lift height is stated at 10', and at 6' the water flow is quite restricted. But for a small, cheap "testing" setup, it works great even with 10 misting heads on 1/4" PEC irrigation tubing. The fittings seat and seal well on the pump outlet, and a spare suction cup is included in the box. Also of interest, the noise level is actually lower than my 640GPH pump. Wattage is as specified, with very occasional increase/decrease, and connecting it to my 1500VA/900W UPS system barely increases the load, dropping the 450-minute "unloaded" reserve capacity by just 12 minutes. Running only this pump on it I would have more than 7 hours of water flow if the power goes out. The pump itself is about twice the size of the 640GPH, and more than twice the weight. Mounting it to the side of a reservoir requires an absolute minimum water depth of 5.5", and with a "Y" splitter in the outlet for balanced pressure in a looped irrigation setup I recommend placing one of the nipples on the pump outlet and using tubing to connect the splitter so you can lay the splitter flat in your reservoir and place the pump upright on the bottom as there are water intakes that must both be submerged on both ends of the pump. Using 1/4" irrigation tubing without a cap and free-flowing, the inlet flow control at the front makes no noticeable difference in the amount of water flow, so if precision flow is required you'll need inline valves, but for my setup, adjusting the misting heads is enough. So far, I'm quite impressed with this little guy, and no longer worried about finding my plants dead from lack of hydration or nutrients. If it lasts awhile, this will have been a great buy - one I highly recommend for smaller LPA hydroponics setups or even a 3-bucket tower or up to 10-bucket Dutch Bucket system. At this price point, I can keep a couple of these on the shelf in case of failure, and if they last 6 months or more in use, they'll be well worth the cost.

A Solid Pump That Does Its Job
The VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump works just fine. It’s easy to set up, runs quietly, and moves water exactly the way it’s supposed to. The flow is steady, the build feels sturdy, and it’s been reliable for daily use. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated—just a dependable pump that performs as advertised. If you need a straightforward, no‑nonsense pump that gets the job done without any issues, this one fits the bill.

Great reliability and value.
Purchased for use in a backyard water feature. Easy to install and produces more than enough flow to carry the water the necessary 30” vertical rise. Has been running nearly continuously for 6 months without issue.

Decent Product, but Has Room for Improvement
I’ve been using the VIVOSUN 800GPH submersible pump for a few months in my hydroponic setup. It gets the job done, but there are a few things to be aware of before buying. Pros: Decent Flow Rate: The advertised 800GPH seems fairly accurate under optimal conditions. It moves water efficiently and keeps circulation consistent. Quiet Operation: It’s pretty quiet—definitely not silent, but the noise is minimal and unobtrusive, especially when submerged fully. Includes Accessories: The three nozzle options are a nice touch and allow for some customization depending on your setup. Cons: High Lift Exaggerated: The 10ft lift is a bit optimistic. In real-world use, it struggled to maintain decent pressure past 6-7 feet. Durability Questionable: After about 2 months, the output noticeably dropped. I cleaned the unit and impeller, but performance didn’t fully recover. Short Cord: The 6.5ft cord is okay for small setups, but it was a bit restrictive for my needs. You might need an extension depending on your layout. Overall, it’s a decent pump for smaller systems or hobbyist use, but I wouldn’t rely on it for anything critical or large-scale. If you’re looking for something more heavy-duty or long-lasting, you might want to invest in a higher-end model.

I use this pump in a hydroponic unit, i runs for half hour on and half hour on, It pumps up around the 5 feet mark with no problems. It pumps so much water that i keep the intake screen closed and it pumps the perfect amount for my plants. has been submerged in water for 2 years and still works perfect. im giving this review now cause i just ordered a second one for my next project and first one is still going strong.👍👍.
