Q: what is the width? Looking to fit a bassinet with internal width of 13.5”

The width of this pillow is 14.5 inches (I took it from the middle part of it since it is the largest).

Q: Can this be used in a crib?

Yes, it can. I used it in my grandson bassinet and his mom used it in his crib.

Q: Does anyone have recommendations on how to get the baby not to slide?

I used this for like the first 3months…once my son was rolling I stopped. I would just lay him down on it and he didn’t really slide. Since my son will we a toddler soon, I will break it back out for his toddler pillow too. It helped my son as a newborn sleep better than just the flat mattress.

Don't know exactly but it fits into a nighttime basinette easily for support for baby upright. I placed it under the flat mattress part of the basinette worked good if baby was congested. Keeps the baby at a good angle for sleep.
