Works as described, easy to install

As many others have said, this works perfectly to prevent backflow into a dish washer. The item can be cut to accommodate various hose sizes. My advice would be to carefully check and re-check sizing before cutting the part. Ask me how I know..... I was able to recover, but cutting a bit too much off cost me some time and effort. No fault of the part - all on me. Good luck!

So far so good. My garbage disposal was backing up food into my dishwasher for years and it was gross. I finally got around to installing this check valve which stopped it and I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. It was so simple. No leaks and works well

The device works well enough. Cheaply made.

I have a slow draining kitchen sink that was backing up into the dishwasher so I installed this inline the washer drain line. It did take a couple trips to the hardware store to find a suitable connector and then a bit of hacksaw work. But it works fine. The valve has a set of three leaves, much like a heart valve so it doesn't need to be orientated in any certain way. Now the sink still drains slowly but at least it isn't ending up in the dishwasher.

I have had this in my sump return line for about 4 days. First day seemed promising, I could tell it took a moment to close up and stop the back flow. Today it seemed the same but after waiting an hour or so I can tell there is a slow leak from the check valve returning back to my sump. I wonder if it needs more back pressure to close properly but I don't expect it to get better from here but I guess I will see. Mine sits vertically so back flow would come directly straight down on the valve. I don't think this is advertised for the way I am using it but I know others may be looking for a similar product for the same solution.
