Perfect
Great water filter! You just can't beat it, especially at this price! I have city water so it did not taste good until now! Ever since I started using this water filter, my dog drinks her water more frequently. It got rid of the chlorine smell so she absolutely loves to drink her water now. Very easy to install. Perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent product as always!
It arrived when it was supposed to and it is very easy to open and place the filter in it. Plus, it was easy to place onto my sink facuet. It comes with 4-5 different parts (I only used one part) to help connect it to my sink. It works well. Connecting was easy as pie. The material is lightweight and pretty. Very durable.

No more chlorine taste!
The water in my city is pretty decent, but because it's so pure the chlorine taste is very prominent, to the point where it's about all you can taste. I wanted something that "just works" and doesn't require a large investment (since I'm in an apartment), and didn't require a ritual of filling a container. This installed in just a few minutes and made an immediate improvement on the taste of my tap water and ice. Wish I had remembered to buy this sooner.

Our Experience with Pur Vs Brita
We've been using Brita Pitcher water based filters since forever up until earlier this year when we switched to the Pur Faucet based water filters mainly because the plastic pitchers with Brita would scratch and show signs of wear which look ugly on the dinner table & also they were too slow to fill if you wanted to have water right away. Overall based on our experience in the past couple of months we are satisfied with the Pur Water filtration systems barring a few minor gripes. Uboxing & Installation ----------------------------- - Check out my video for the unboxing , initial impressions & installation Build Quality & Using It ---------------------------------- - Despite is shiny chrome appearance , the Filter body is made of plastic which means that we are a bit extra careful around it while doing the dishes as it dosent seem like it would be able to withstand a hard knock - Using the filter and switching between unfiltered tap water (for washing etc) and filtered water is very simple with a small plastic lever on the right side. - The plastic lever feels precariously fragile when its on the 'On' filtered water position, so once again we are extra careful while filling our water pitchers - There is also a small LED indicator on the front which tells you when you need to change the filter ( the manual says every 3 months) - Comes with 4 different adapters to fit your faucet - only one of them (the Type-A) adapter is made of metal and the rest are plastic. Luckily the type A adapter should work with most standard faucets and worked for us Water Taste & Comparison with Brita ------------------------------------------------ There are a couple of major differences when it comes to the water taste and quality between the two , mainly because : - The Brita water filtration system is gravity fed which makes is slower but allows water to interact with the filter for a longer period of time . Whereas the PUR water filter is pressure fed making is fast and gives water less time to interact with the filter - The Brita filter cartridges are longer than the PUR cartridges increasing the time and surface area the water interacts with the filter materials As a result in my opinion, the water tastes slightly better and sweeter from the Brita Filters when compared against PUR. Now water from PUR filters itself is definitely noticeably better than plain tap water so it does its job well & its overall performance combined with the super fast filtered water flow is nothing to sneeze at The Good -------------- - Super fast filtered water when compared to gravity fed filters - Water tastes much better than plain tap water alone - Easy operation and switching between plain tap water and filtered water - Looks attractive in the kitchen - Based on the design and layout you choose, it really does not get too much in the way while doing the dishes The Not So Good -------------------- - There is no second opinion about it , it does not to seem like its built to last with its plastic construction and looks fragile. We are extra cautious when using it and doing the dishes. The lever switch mechanism appears the be the most fragile as its plastic and hinged right at the corner - Running hot water through the filter kills it - Doesn't compare that well when compared to gravity fed filtration systems (Brita) Important Consideration Before Purchasing ------------------------------------------------------ Please make sure that your kitchen faucet has a removable screw-on type aerator. This filter will not work with non-removable aerator type faucets Final Thoughts ------------------- Overall the PUR water filtration is pretty good for what it offers at its price point with the biggest advantage that we see is the fast on demand filtered water output with reasonably good taste. I just wish it was built better to last.

Installs easily and works well, previously had water tested with the Pur filter and it passed without issue. Continue to use this daily.

Not sure what it is doing (well water)
TLDR: I have this on a faucet that is directly connected to my well. It does not seem to be doing anything. Here's the background. Our water supply is from our well. Lots of sediments in the water and the water is extremely hard. The water is GREAT for plants and probably humans as well. But the hard water plays havoc on the appliances, bathroom fittings, sinks, pipes etc. and washing clothes is a nightmare. You have to use a lot of softener. Installed a salt based water softening system. This works great but the taste isnt great. And plants dislike this water and so does the dog. Yes, the fussy dog wont drink the water! So we installed an RO system under the kitchen sink for drinking water. The water is FANTASTIC! The wife then started eating my head about getting untreated water for her from the basement so she could water the potted plants on the main level - especially in the winter. I decided the best solution was to disconnect the butler's pantry sink faucet from the softened water and connect it directly to the well water. I connected this filter to the butlers pantry sink faucet. Why? because the water from the well is always cold. Its a nice refreshing cold and I love to drink this water but dont because of the sediments. I figured the filter would remove the sediments and any harmful elements from the water. And this is where the mystery begins. Installing this thing was a breeze. It helps to read the instructions (which I did not) because you may save time by not having to test all the adapters. Oh yes - it comes with adapters that fit various sizes of faucets. I think it might even fit my bathroom vanity faucet which is an odd shape (but no use here as the water is softened at this outlet). But you might have that weird faucet that this wont fit - so be prepared. Suffice to say one of the adapters worked for my faucet. I ran the water for 5 minutes through the filter as per the instructions. I collected the water and found that it was not cloudy and i did not see any carbon particles either. Tasted the water and it was cold but tasted different. Not bad but not great like the RO water. Nowhere near as great as the RO water. So I decided the use my TDS Meter Digital Water tester and the attached pictures are the results. 1) Unfiltered water - PPM 214 2) Water from the PUR filter - PPM 222 (?!?!?) 3) Water from the RO with inline mineralization capsule - PPM 39. Color me confused. Maybe someone can respond and shed some light on what is happening here. I have no idea why the PPM in the filtered water is greater that the unfiltered water. I dont expect the filter to soften the water. I dont want it to soften the water. I expected some reduction in the PPM but I definitely did not expect the count to go up. I performed the test again and the results were the same. So what gives? Three stars because I dont want to dis a product without understanding what it is doing. I have not done a chemical analysis of the water to know exactly what is happening. It is probably doing its thing.

I've been using this filter for many years and it's simply great, no smell or taste to water and internal battery last for years. That's the only reason I had the buy a second one, battery died (4-5years later)
