What should I pay attention to before installation?

Just clean the surface from any dust beforehand to make sure you get the best adhesion.

Will it cause any harm to the furniture? Can I remove it completely without leaving any residual?

We have removed some recently and they didn't leave any marks on the furniture at all.

Is the adhesive also transparent?

Yeah, you can tell that it's there as it sticks to the table but if you press it as close as it can go it does go nearly fully transparent. Make sure you don't get fingerprints on the adhesive otherwise it'll show a little bit.

Is it easy for a baby to pull off?

No. I just tried tugging on it and it stayed put. The adhesive is on the top only so a toddler might be able to reach under the sides and try to pull it off. Still pretty strong.
