Excellent replacement for VSX-31
This remote actually controlled everything needed, specifically the advanced setting menu. Tried other generic remotes which could only do the basics (volume, power).

Good Replacement
I purchased this to replace a Pioneer VSX-31 remote. Was about to throw out the receiver when somebody suggested I check Amazon for a remote replacement. Now, we have a functional receiver again.
