Boys Over Flowers, Vol. 1

So I started reading this after watching the different live action versions of the manga. There are things that are the same and things that are different but I’m looking forward to seeing the differences and similarities as I continue to read the series.

Loved this book. Wanted to read it because i saw the show meteor garden. That show is based of these books. It was a little confusing with the names, but i loved this story and the bonus story! Can't wait to get my hands on the other 36

I cannot stand the F4’s entitlement and willingness to make others inflict extreme harm in this or adaptations of the story. That said, the story of Tsukushi struggling against their entitlement and trauma justifications is compelling. She shouldn’t have to fix them, they should grow without a girl doing most of the work to teach them, but this is representative of many girls and that’s why it continues to resonate.

what can i say? i went through a very shojo time in my life. it's girly, it's fun and often romantic. this is a definitive shojo that totally is for boy crazy people. i really enjoyed this series but it went on WAY past 26... that's too much for me, investment cash-wise and the story started to get pretty poor and convoluted. ever seen weeds? like how it's so good and then all this stuff happens needlessly to keep the show going? yeah, that's this manga. but the first 10 or so are gold. worth a read.

After fighting the urge for so long, I got a masterpiece in my hand. A rare collectible that is no longer made, and brand new at that!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better result.

not gonna give a summary of the story, because the other reviews have already done that, and it would be a waste of words. i will tell you, however, that i had read this story years ago, and absolutely loved it. it did have moments that dragged on, but the overall story was awesome. i purchased this used, for very cheap, and it came to me in mint condition. no damaged cover, or binding, and the pages were like new! very happy with purchase, and you would be too!

I liked the Korean drama version of this manga and it was interesting to see what they changed and what they kept. I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

みなさんご存じの「花より男子」の英語版！ 私は特にこの本を日本語版を既読の方におすすめします。 第一巻と言えば、「花男」のなかでも印象的なセリフが多いので、 有名なあのセリフは英語でどう訳されているか、読んでみると楽しいですよ。 日本語と英語の特徴の違いもきっと感じ取れるので、英語を勉強中の方には参考になる部分があると思います。 ただ、表記が全部アルファベットの大文字ですので、そこに違和感を感じられる方もいるかもしれませんね。
