I bought this cable as a replacement for my original Samsung USB charging cable that came with the phone. The original cable lasted several years, but in the end the copper wires broke where they enter the Micro USB connector. This part of the connector did not have a strain relief. The Ugreen cable exterior is protected by a textile sheath, the ends of which are apparently molded into the plastic ends of the two USB connectors (which are stiff plastic and therefore not really a strain relief, even though they may look so in the item's pictures). This prevents the ends of the threads to fray. The cable is quite stiff. Like all signal cables, sharp bending should be avoided, especially near the connectors, and the stiffness may help as a reminder not do do this. At the same time, the cable tends to remain straight, rather than kinked. The connectors are apparently gold-plated, and their general appearance is high-end. I don't know the diameter of the copper wires, but the diameter and weight of the cable do suggest a generous use of copper, which is necessary to support the quick-charge function without heating or voltage drops. Cheap USB cables skimp on copper and use the bare minimum of it, which is not good for this function and can encourage breakage on repeated folding. The cable works well both when charging the phone and carrying data.

Commentaire : J'ai acheté ce câble UGREEN pour remplacer un vieux câble qui avait rendu l'âme, et la différence de qualité est flagrante. Une solidité à toute épreuve : Le revêtement en nylon tressé est un énorme point fort. Faisant les allers-retours chaque week-end entre mon appartement et chez mes parents, le câble finit souvent en boule au fond de mon sac. Contrairement aux câbles classiques en plastique qui se plient et s'abîment très vite, celui-ci ne s'emmêle pas du tout et ne montre aucun signe de faiblesse au niveau des connecteurs. Il est fait pour durer. Charge vraiment rapide : Les promesses des 18W et 3A sont tenues. Il recharge mes appareils compatibles à toute vitesse, ce qui est super pratique quand on est pressé le matin avant de partir. Finitions impeccables : Comme souvent avec cette marque, la qualité de fabrication est au rendez-vous. L'embout s'enclenche parfaitement dans le port micro-USB de l'appareil sans avoir de "jeu", ce qui évite les faux contacts et les déconnexions intempestives. En résumé, c'est un câble d'excellente qualité, très résistant et super performant au quotidien. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !
