Hasnt anybody noticed the hepa filter is called heap filter on the box.

Yes I noticed when I bought a replacement filter. It’s because it is not a HEPA filter. So to get around that they call it a HEAP filter hoping that will be enough. Trouble is it also says on the packet that this HEAP filter traps large particles. I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about the amount of cheap chinese Hepa air filters on Amazon that actually are not. To me that should warrant the seller and manufacturer to be taken off Amazon.

How often should I turn this on, part of day? Just at night? All the time?

Mine is kept in the kitchen , so I put it on during cooking , and for an hour or so afterwards to get rid of strong smells . I imagine you can use it all the time or just when you need to. If you use it all the time, you will need to change the filter more often.

Does it eliminate the smell of cigarettes?
