Bio Nutrition California Poppy Vegi-Caps, 60 Count

This isn't a prescription level pain pill, but it has reduced my hip and back pain more than any NSAID my doctor has prescribed. California poppy doesn't work like opium poppy - it won't give immediate intense pain relief. It seems to start with easier motion and takes a couple of weeks to max out pain relief. I can now after a month of use, and after three years of sciatic nerve pain, work around the house and cook at the stove for hours without the usual agony. I only tried California poppy because ibuprofen was causing stomach problems so this has been a relief for my stomach too. It does give a slight relaxation effect, although I don't find it enough to be a sleep aid. Worth trying.

We have been searching for a California poppy for a while and found this by Bio Nutrition. It works like a charm and is very calming. It helps with sleep, and we will buy this again.

This California Poppy works for me! I've tried many brands and I've only felt real benefit from this brand. It helps ease my nerve pain and helps me to sleep. I use it 2 weeks on and alternate with Wild Lettuce (Lactuca virosa) capsules or tincture for 2 weeks.

This supplement did not help my back pain when my back went out so I'm not sure what type of pain relief it is capable of giving. However I do notice that when I take it I sleep for a little longer than normal. Sometimes it makes me feel sleepy and I yawn but other times it just knocks me out and so I only take it a little before bedtime. This is a sedative so use with caution. And consult with your doctor before taking. I got this because it said it would help with early morning awakenings. At least that is what the magazine article said. Sometimes I awaken in the middle of the night but usually can easily get back to sleep. So don't be surprised if you sleep longer than normal. ~The Rebecca Review

These pills are a godsend they are narcotic-free and really help to manage my pain. The other day I was cooking up a storm and had been in the kitchen for hours, my feet and back were hurting. I took a couple of these babies and before I knew it the foot pain was gone, I felt good enough to go for an hour and a half drive and visit with my daughter (she was up late settling into her own place). Mind you I didn't get back home till 2 o'clock in the morning and I felt pretty good pain wise. That was my first time taking this supplement, now I usually take 2 or 3 at a time- once or twice a day- depending on how bad I feel, I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I saw that the Medical Medium has a California poppy seed shock therapy in his new Brain Protocols book and will give that a try soon.

Started with one capsule, when no effects occured I decided the next day I would take two. The same results so I took three the day after that. Definitely not going to take four. That is all. This brand just plain old does NOT work. I am going to try a different brand since so many people recommend the droplet extract kind. I don't even think the capsules contain any poppy seed. I feel as though I was ripped off.
