Nerf Rival Hypnos XIX-1200 (Blue)

First off, this blaster is awesome. It looks absolutely amazing. I looove the almost sci-fi, futuristic, modern combat-type look this thing has. The ergonomics of this blaster is also wonderfully done. The grip is super comfortable, the stock is long enough for a 6' 3" guy like myself, but it wouldn't be uncomfortable for someone with shorter arms. I was also super happy to see that this blaster includes an extra magazine. I have only a couple minor gripes, but nothing that take away from the quality of this super sweet blaster. I am unaccustomed to the 12-round rival stick mag, so I didn't know how easy the rounds pop out. This is a problem when attempting to use the rail on the side to hold the extra mag, since jostling could pop the balls out. The magazine also moves around a lot when using this side rail, so I would not recommend using that for anything other than storage. However, the side rail will fit the Rival flashlight, which will be helpful for me, since I will be playing a low-light nerf battle next week. Another knock against this otherwise perfect blaster is that it is not equipped with slamfire, nor does it shoot the two darts at a time that the Atlas does. Unfortunately, it does not seem like you can double load two rounds into the same shot, the same way you can with the Kronos or the Helios. Overall, very impressed with this design, and I will be using this one for my Nerf war this week. =)

Great Nerf gun at a reasonable price. The Rival series are the best Nerf has to offer, and the Hypnos does not disappoint. The folding stock means both my very tall husband and my 7 year old can both use the gun with comfort and ease. The shotgun style pump action is a LOT easier for my son to use than the top side pump action, so he can more easily keep up during Nerf battles. Being able to store a second magazine on the gun means more fun before reloading. We may add a strap for my son since it is a bit bigger and heavier. We got one in red, one in blue, and I’m going to order one more for mom!

I initially thought it was broke, and then found out it was the aftermarket balls I was using for it. I bought some amazon cheapo balls for the other blasters and when I use them in the Hypnos the gun wants to pull all/several balls at once instead of 1 at a time. So as long as I use the genuine Nerf balls, it works flawlessly and is a GREAT gun. Very fun to play nerf wars with my sons.

The gun doesn't fire out bullets as fast as other Nerf guns. The reloading is a bit tedious compared to other guns since you have to carry around the magazines and take the time to replace them. I did get two however and the first one had its clip release trigger broken which made reloading it even more inconvenient.

This was sooooo much fun to use!!! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got this but it’s got a lot of power to it!! The only downside is the batteries, but you can buy the rechargeable ones on amazon too. Also loved the huge capacity for ammo!!! No need to keep reloading, so I definitely won the nerf battle in our office!!!

Great gun, great accuracy. People say that the gun has inconsistent FPS but that is do to human error. You have to be deliberate with your priming. If you don’t prime it back enough you might find that you can prime it back another half inch, if so, prime it back that half inch and it will make all that difference, listen to coop772 on YouTube to understand better about what I am trying to tell you. I recommend this gun highly.

Great blaster, for me and the kids. Good power and distance, a little big for my youngest son but he manages to handle it. The speed is faster than the other nerf rivals. Good buy for the price.

It is amazing but it does hurt shooting from far away. Very powerful and definitely DON'T shoot in the EYES

Se ve espectacular, es muy cómoda para el rango de edad que está recomendada y el que traiga más bolitas y otro "cargador" es algo buenísimo, el único problema que observé es que al recargar rápido puedes hacer que la parte que mantiene las bolitas en el cargador choque con algún plástico de donde se coloca y salgan del cargador dentro del orificio causando que se atasque, cosa que me pasó varias veces. Si la utilizas con un poco más de cuidado no pasará y es seguro que será muy entretenido utilizarla.

This nerf gun shot pretty fast, and the bullets went far. It’s a bit heavy for a nine year old but he enjoyed playing with it. From a mother’s point of view I found it a bit loud compared to other nerf guns but all in all it’s a fun gun to play with!!

El único “defecto” que le encontré fue que la caja llegó dañada, sin embargo no afectó en nada a la Nerf. Fue una ganga por un artículo bastante increíble, un poco ruidosa pero eso es un detalle de Rival 👌🏽
