Pirouette like the pros in our Leather Pirouette II. The half sole design offers the best of both worlds. Sturdy leather hugs the forefoot while the open heel provides much needed breathability. Elastics around the sides and under the arch of the foot keep you stable while turning non-stop. Capezio logo on ballet-style sole patch adds an exclusive touch. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

BEST ONES OUT THERE!
i dance ever day and these are comfortable don’t pinch and mold to the feet with in a couple days. I can go around three months before i need to replace mine because of holes and worn down leather but dancing for 5 hours a day may play into that

Our go to for pom
These shoes are a staple for my dancer daughter for pom. This is the shoe her coach recommended and the one we continue to purchase. Half sole shoes, in general, don't last a long time, especially for girls spending many hours a week dancing in them. These seems to hold up better than the canvas ones.

A staple
These are a staple for me as a dancer. I wish they were better quality, but alas they are not. They are a nice color and get the job done. I wear between a 3 and a 4.5 in kids and the small fits, but is snug. Definitely size up a bit.

Fast and Durable.
I needed a quick order for a recital, and these came the day after I ordered! Very quick arrival, good quality shoe, and lasted all 4 days perfectly (which is impressive for me lol) would buy again, except they're still in perfect condition so I don't need to! They're a little tight before you work them out, but that's normal so don't be worried unless they're choking your foot!

Foot bed peeled off after three wears.
My daughter only wore these for three performances (she wears her old ones for practice) and the inside foot bed peeled right off the inside of the shoe. Meanwhile her old ones that she has worn every week for a year or so is fine.
