I ordered 4 of these to try in our recently renovated backyard garden amongst our trees, flowers, and statuary. I tried staking them into the ground but the plastic stakes just bent so I took the stake off and just sat them on top of the mulch. Even with the torrential storms, we have had they didn't budge. We loved them so much I immediately ordered 4 more and once they arrived we decided we need another 4. Along with 2 lanterns outside, they have totally transformed our backyard. We love looking out the windows at night and seeing the beautiful glow of these lights. You simply cannot go wrong buying these. They are so beautiful! Update #2. I replaced the batteries in all 12 lights. 5 of them are still working but the rest all died within 1-2 days. I don't have high hopes that these will make it either. I would not buy again. They are not waterproof. If you live in super hot climates like we do in Texas apparently the heat can crack the lens and once that happens water will get into the unit. The unit is toast at that point. I love the look of the lights so I will look for some others to replace them with but I wouldn't recommend these again. I couldn't figure out how to reach the company but I did go through Amazon and I have to say their customer service is worth 5+ stars.

I purchased these lights in both cool and warm tones for my yard. The cool went in the backyard to match our pool light and they look stunning. I only hope they last in the hot Florida sunlight and thunderstorms! We're about a month in so far. The front yard also looks fabulous (2nd photo). P.S. Great customer service! One of the lights wouldn't work and they sent me a replacement right away.

First, the good. These lights fit flush to the ground so they are unobtrusive and can be mowed over. Being flush, they don't require continuous straightening like solar in-ground post lights, which is nice. They also appear to be waterproof and weatherproof. Time will tell on that one. Construction appears to be fairly good quality. Shipment was quick. They came pre-charged and ready to use out of the box. The soft white color is a nice, pleasing, true soft white. Now, the bad. They require ALOT of direct sunlight to charge. These aren't the type of lights you can put in your landscape under trees or plants to highlight or illuminate your landscape features. If you do that, all you will get is some dimly lit UFO looking disks in your yard. And speaking of looking like a UFO, that's what they look like. They're not bright enough for the light emitted to blend together nicely. No, they look like 8 semi-bright little dots. And once fully charged, they are just not bright at all. They would operate best as a walkway marker, but not anything that actually illuminates the way in the dark. I bought them with the intent to uplight some of my ornamental trees and shrubs and replace my ugly and intrusive spotlights. Well, that can't happen because they need full sun to charge, and once charged, they are just not bright enough to illuminate past about a 1' upfacing area, like if you placed them against a wall. If there had been anything in the listing on the lumens of these, I would have known. Live and learn. Also, it would appear that every one of the metal disk lights listed on Amazon are exactly the same. Same design, same specs, same warranty, same packaging, same marketing, same everything. So, if you still want this design of light, just get the least expensive you can find. It would appear that you are not getting a higher quality just because you are paying more.

The product over all is very exciting. The sleek silver brushed aluminum and look is this a classic and classy addition to the bistro tables we have in our sitting area. While this is an ambience light. It's perfect for, a candlelight affect, on our tables. In the pictures you'll see several different arrangements of these lights. I have a set illuminating the background tarp to give you an idea of the brightness from about 50 feet. My only disappointment is in the description. Every other solar light, not from this company, advertises how many lights the price listed encompasses. This company, being deceptive or not, list how many LEDs are in each particular light. This gives the impression that for $26, you're getting eight lights, when actually you're only getting four lights. Why I am elated at the look I would've never spent this much money on a small, solar light. This comes out to approximately 650 light. There certainly much better deals is $6.50 a light for this level of lighting. In any case is not worth the hassle to send them back. So here's the breakdown: for price to value I get them one star four look of the device I get them five stars for ease of use and assembly I get them five stars. Overall this would've been a four dollar light this would've been a five-star review and then I'm just taking away one star for the deceptive advertising. The downside and I have to order for more the decision I have to make will be for more these.

Update: seller was quick to send replacements to see if that helped. It still didn’t serve my purpose which was to illuminate our sidewalk. I replaced them with some from Walmart which are perfect! I moved these lights to the back yard where they work perfect to light a pathway. Like another customer I too was very annoyed with the seller constantly bugging me to update my review! I appreciate their quick response but not the constant emails asking me to update. Very pretty, easy to install but not near as bright as the cheapies I had up before. I will need to go back to taller ones and will use these elsewhere. UPDATE: Purchased these in May and was dissappointed in the brightness for our front walkway but they were OK for our back yard. I noticed a few had cracked while in the front but seemed to be OK. Now they are ALL cracked and water is getting in caused two to fail. These were NOT stepped on but cracked in the sun. I've thrown one away and will be trashing the second that has failed (full of water). I imagine the rest will be full of water also soon as they are all cracked :-(

I’ve only had these lights about 2 weeks but I am very pleased with them. I’ve bought many solar lights over the years and these are among the brightest and have a nice, warm glow that is not too white but also not too yellow. I am not using the stakes as I have them inside of metal lanterns but it seems like the stakes would be simple to snap in place and push into the ground. Note that the sun is a little obscured by my lanterns but these still charge well and stay lit late into the night, far longer than many of my other solar lights that get direct sunlight. I also felt like with the discount they were a great price for the quality. I’m ordering another set!

*Update: They didn't last lang. Cracks appeared on the surface of all of them. So some stopped working completely, some only seemed to be working at 25-50%. I'm sure they were hit by sprinklers a few times a week, but I can't recommend them if they will come into contact with water. Keep these away from water. Great little set of lights. Yellow, soft glow. Doesn't put a ton of light but just enough to get the job done. I really like how they're flush to the ground so you don't notice them. But at night, they put out just enough light to give some accent lighting. They were a little difficult to push all the way down into the soil, so I used a hammer and screw driver to create a hole so as not to break the plastic spike, or the light itself. No idea how long these will last or how they'll survive the sprinklers but for the price they look great!

This is the second set of lights I have gotten after two years. The first set lasted me quite well and they still work but the brightness of the second set of lights is definitely noticeable. So for the lights to last for two years as well as they did is impressive. Very easy to install however I often have people that accidentally walk or knock over the lights and unfortunately the plastic piece that is connected to the light is not very sturdy so it falls apart and if you’re lucky you can assemble it back. Otherwise I just put the light flat on the ground without the stand. But looks great!
