amscan Costume for Kids, Roman Gladiator

We had a Roman day at school - I’m female and usually wear a small or 8/10. I bought this because the measurements seemed to be fine at it was £10 cheaper than the adult version. It was perfect. Came down to my knees (5’6”) and had a lot of extra room. The only complains were when sitting it choked me and irritated my neck. The leg guards were too tight at the top - but considering this costume if for a child, I wasn’t expecting them to fit. The white tunic is pretty sheer so I wore a stewpot top and shorts underneath. The top has four pieces of Velcro to attach the brown armour. The armour was folded when received but three days on a hanger helped the creases to drop. Would definitely recommend this for dress-up days at school/dress-up parties. Brilliant value for money.

Bought for my 5yr old son. It's quite big. I've had to adjust the arm holders so they fit him. The tunic does not fit round the waist like the picture implies. The brown 'armour' is velcro stuck on to the front of the white tunic only, so the whole thing hangs like a loose tunic, rather than fitted at the waist. The cape is lovely though. And the quality of material is good. It doesn't come with the sword or shoes, as the picture implies.

My 5 year old son wanted a Roman outfit to pretend to be a centurion. He comes home and dresses in it after school and challenges me to a battle. After a month of rough use it is still intact and fits him well. He says it’s very comfortable. It’s easy for him to put on by himself but the leg and arm braces are too big for him. I’d say the braces are closer to the fit of an 8 year old. He doesn’t use them and it still looks good.

This is a good costume. it does what it’s designed to do. We only needed it for 1 play, but my son still likes dressing up in it every so often. it is still in one piece which is good. considering it’s not very expensive, it’s done very well

Déguisement acheté pour mon fils à l’occasion d’un défilé, et il s’est vraiment bien amusé avec, donc mission réussie de ce point de vue. Le costume est visuellement sympa et fait son effet, mais il ne faut pas s’attendre à quelque chose de très solide. La matière (type feutrine) reste assez légère et peu résistante, surtout si l’enfant bouge beaucoup. Les jambières et les tours de bras n’ont pas très bien tenu et ont fini par tomber pendant le défilé. C’est donc un déguisement plutôt sympa pour une utilisation ponctuelle ou calme. Dans un contexte plus “dynamique” (défilé, jeux, course…), il montre vite ses limites. Concernant le prix, je trouve que c’est un peu élevé au vu de la qualité, même si ça reste acceptable pour une occasion. La livraison rapide a été un vrai plus dans mon choix. Au final, un déguisement qui fait le job pour faire plaisir à un enfant sur un moment précis, mais qui ne tiendra probablement pas dans le temps.
