Excellent Tool
Deep pipe clamps are extremely useful for contractors, wood workers, and fabricators of all kinds. VERY helpful, can be used to prop/clamp/hold welding parts, etc. I uses them for table making from slabs - Deep PONY clamps are invaluable, heavy duty necessities for any plank-style or butcher block construction. You'll find may other uses as well. Length ADJUSTS to the length of your steel pipe - so up to 10', if needed! Most useful is a working range from 18"-to about 5' pipe, low flex and torque in these ranges. Well made. Would purchase again. I trust PONY clamps and gear for long and trouble free life.

Really great as both a clamp and a spreader.
Works great as both a clamp and spreader. Bought it mainly for the spreader feature and it works perfectly.

Updated
I have many pipe clamps (perhaps 25 to 30 of them in various lengths (some for 1/2" and some for 3/4" pipe), but only one other "deep reach" pipe clamp. I never had any problems before. I attempted to insert the "slide" end of the clamp onto the pipe and it hung-up on the threads. When I pull it off the pipe, the guts fells out -- four flat "grippers", a flip-type spring, and a coil spring-like thingy. This last item was badly misshaped. I found no description on the package on how to reassemble this item and spent at least an hour and a half trying to put it back together. Life is too short! This goes into the trash; I am out $19. I have no animosity towards Jorgenson Company and only hope that a representative reads this and asks what could our company do to alleviate similar problems -- perhaps put a diagram on your package of how to reassemble. I went back and finally got the slider/thumb-screw end together and on my pipe. Works well. I think the problem was that the "coil spring thingy" (probably a stop) got into the housing during shipping and interfered with inserting the pipe. A drawing of the parts in the assembly would have been a great help and time saver.

A+++++ Clamping
This is a great product for the function I was looking for. I needed a clamp that adjusted position on the same side that clamps. I have a table (bench) with a top full of inserted nuts (3/4") that I use as the fixed side of these clamps. I bought three of them. Instead of using the fixed side of these clamps, I can screw them on the table nuts and easily turn that table area into a clamp, anywhere in the top. This allows me to clamp large boards (say 2ft x 4ft) with ease. The design of these clamps allows me to screw them in, adjust their height to the desired level, and then turn the screw to clamp nicely. This was the best clamp system I could find to do this job. I have used them several times now, and I am very pleased with their performance. They are rock solid and the price is right. I recommend buying at least two so that shipping comes free. That in itself pays for at least half of second clamp. I highly recommend them.

The best, and only pipe clamps you should buy.
These are the only pipe clamps I have found that do it correctly. Only with these, the Jorgensen Pony deep reach (and it MUST be DEEP REACH) do you find both the screw adjustment and the long distance clutch adjustment on the SAME end of the clamp. With all other pipe clamps I've come across, the screw adjustment is on the fixed end, meaning when you are working with a long pipe, you need to keep running around from one side of your work bench to the other. It's an infuriating and pointless design flaw that for some reason only these deep reach pipe clamps avoid. Well made, they work great, and BONUS, they have 2x the depth of reach vs standard.

PERFECT FOR HOME REPAIR & AUTOMOTIVE WORK
I have used it twice and it was a life saving product. The first time was for doing foundation work on a pier and beam house. I bought some 2x6 pressure treated wood and laid them out to dry for a few days in the hot texas summer sun. If you've never done that, pressure treated wood are prone to bowed, curled, and warped when dried. First, I routed the 2 diagonal corners with 5/8" roundover bit. I put some Ideal ClearGlide Wire Pulling Lubricant on the rounded corners and pounded in with a hammer. Then I used this clamp to compress the new beam to the old beam and attached with 3" Deckmate screws. The second time was on the rear leaf suspension on a Nissan Hardbody truck. I replaced the factory worned rubber bushings with Energy Suspension brand polyurethane red bushings. If you've never done it, it's a tight fit and zero tolerance. Even with the silicone grease that they provided, it's impossible to squeeze the mounting brackets in the back and mounting rod in the front through the middle hole of the bushings that are inserted inside the shackles. This clamp does the trick. It is barely deep enough in this case but I wish it's about 1/2" deeper. Just a few words of advice, if you've never done it, you should be aware that there's a lot of tension especially in the front shackles. On the rear shackles (2 on each side), you can jack up or lower the truck for get a matching distance to insert the mounting brackets. On the front shackles (1 on each side), you will need another helper to step on the leaf spring. Buy one, you will need it later. Don't waste your money on the shallow ones or those that use 1/2" pipe. I have those but this is always my first go to clamp when I need it.
