3M (3056) Trizact 3-2/3" x 9" 5000 Grit Performance Sandpaper

Cuts and smooths rough paint touch-ups BETTER than my wet 3000 grit, while leaving less scratches and dullness. (Don’t ask me how!) Leaves surface ready for polish. I was going to post a photo, but there are no flaws left that I can get to show up in a picture!

The product works great. I use it and the 3000 grit to remove small scratches from paint on cars and trucks. Shipping is very slow, but we had a freak 18 inch snowstorm on the North Carolina coast so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt this time.

3M always makes good stuff, and this 5000 grit paper is no different. I use it on hard clear plastics (like vehicle headlights, and scratched CD's) I use it as the final grit just before a cream buffing polish. It is Amazing.

Bought this specifically for use as part of a knife-blade sharpening process, where chipped edges have to be (gently) ground away. This is the fine end of that endeavour, and it is very fine.

Great for removing hard water spots on my shower glass without scratching them.

Used on an 05 Tacoma headlights. Sanded with 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, then Trizact 3000 and then this Trizact 5000. Finished with a coat of Turtle wax. It won’t last more than 6 months but the surface is smooth and all it’ll need then is cleaning and more wax. I think the 5000 is a little coarser than the #4 pad that comes with the Turtle Wax Headlight Restorer Kit. I’d have used Trizact 10,000 but amz was out of stock.

I used this for the final wet sanding of a project boat of mine after cutting it with 1500 grit and this worked absolutely perfectly. The foam allows you to mold it to the lines of your project and if you are using a spray bottle to wet the surface you can just rinse it out every 5 minutes or so and it will last for forever. I did the entire 16 foot boat above the rubrail and the entire inside minus the gripdeck with one 2x4 inch piece. Super happy with it and will definitely buy more once I need it. The photo is after sanding with the product but before the final polishing and buffing with Meguiar's and it looks fantastic.

This is great sand paper for wetsanding scratches and other minor blemishes off your car without worrying about burning through the clear coat. This sand paper is very forgiving for beginners who are just getting into wet sanding and would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to give it a try. I was able to get rid of multiple minor scratches off my own and fathers car with this wet/dry sandpaper without burning through the clear coat. When you get into the more finer sand papers that are not trizact , 2500/2000, you are more prone to burning through the clear coat so I would advise using this first and seeing if it works well for you. I just wanted to also add that the people who were complaining that this does not get rid of orange peel/ fish eyes from the clear coat are CORRECT. To get rid of stubborn orange peel off a clear coat you need to use 2000 grit sand paper and this will not work.

Sandpaper, used wet, lasted a long time on paint chip repairs. Good value. Seller got it here in promised delivery time.

Excelente producto para obtener lijados finos. La lija es bastante resistente y duradera. Yo la use para desvanecer rayones en un parabrisas de acrílico de motocicleta y el acabado de esta lija lo deja bastante bien. Lo único que no me gusto es el olor que desprende durante su uso.
