Armor Tumbled Brass Pocket Lighter

I've owned many zippos, ranging from the cheapest to ones that cost several hundred dollars. This is an outstanding zippo that offers the best value, since it's an inexpensive way to get the Armor case. The Armor zippo uses thicker metal. It was first introduced in 2005. You can feel the weight. It sounds better. The only tradeoff to getting it is that your original zippos will feel cheap and flimsy after you use this one. This zippo is no frills. It has a bead blasted surface, so even though it's brand new and very smooth, it looks like an heirloom that's been handed down across generations. This is nice, since if it falls on the ground and gets scratched up a little bit, then you won't have to worry, and it might actually enhance the character.

Good lighter

The photos do not do this thing justice. I was hesitant to buy this zippo for the same reason I hesitate buying anything with a faux aged finish, I feel applied aging to metal surfaces can go two ways, it's either tasteful and natural looking or really fake and corny. This lighter is simply beautiful, and looks like an heirloom that's been passed on through generations. The case appears to be solid, thick brass, not a cheaper plated metal, which I also love. And the small detail of the slightly gold colored insert to match is so nice. The action feels awesome and it lights up in one strike every time. There's really not much more you could ask for out of a zippo, if you're on the fence or this is your first zippo lighter I'd buy without hesitation.

It’s what I expected quality zippo product. They should really design something that you know doesn’t evaporate you think after how many years now what are we talking 60 years plus after a week if you don’t use it, you don’t have a lighter anymore however it’s a good lighter feel quality texture. It’s good.

Just what I expected. A bit more robust than the classic zippo. Looks quite nice for now. I placed a single torch butane insert inside. Because the insert was slightly loose I attached a small piece of painters tape inside the lighter case and the fit is now perfect. Having to make a minor modification is the reason for the lost star.

Smoking isnt good, I know. But it is so much better lighting up with this zippo.

I've had a few drops and I KNOW there has been less damage to the case than the classic would have shown. Not recommended for "Zippo tricks" as the hinge isn't any beefier than the classic and the heavier lid will put more strain on the hinge. Feels better in the hand than the classic and the "ping" of snapping it open and closed is more pronounced as well. As far as "leaking" - it's a Zippo, it's meant to be used, daily, not sitting in a drawer or bug out bag. Get a butane lighter, or better yet a Bic, if you don't intend on using it. Yeah, you have to fill a Zippo every two or three days, you have to trim the wick, you have to replace the flint; and when you need it to light, it just DOES, the first time, every time.

I ordered a tumbled brass armor zippo and got exactly what I ordered. This lighter works perfectly and is very durable. The tumbled brass is a beautiful finish for a zippo lighter. I also love the brass insert. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. Theses lighters will last a lifetime and if they don't you can get them fixed for free. You wont find a better lighter anywhere. I will be ordering it again soon as gifts for friends and family. I am very pleased this is the nicest lighter I have ever seen !
