Hawke Endurance ED Monocular

I just got my new monocular. I am really happy with it. I felt bad that living in the desert, it'll never be as clean as when I unboxed it! Anyway, the lanyard is kinda cheap, and I couldn't figure out how to use the flat part of the lanyard through the flat slot in the monocular or the eyepiece cap. So, I used the thin cord part for that. Probably someday, the rubber (silicone?) will eventually tear). It wasn't 10 minutes before I lost the cap on the other lens cap. I figure that was probably inevitable. I was out with a friend who brought binocs and she was missing both her's, too. So given these minor issues, why do I give this 5 stars? Well, the image quality is great! Sure enough, that little protuberance with the focus wheel fits nicely in my hand (I have huge hands, FWIW). The image seems reasonably stable while scanning with the monocular. My purpose is to scan rock faces to look for petroglyphs. I can't recount how many times I've looked at far away rock faces and wondered it that's a natural 'peck' into the rock or a petroglyph too far away to resolve. I think this monocular will work great for me.

I’ve been using it during my last 2 trips to southern Chile. One in a ship through the fiords, and discovering the forests near Aysen. This device is light, and easy to use. The image is really clear, and its case (bag) helps a lot when it’s not been used. I’ve been spotting birds, whales, mammals, and mooore birds hahaha. I really recommend it 🙌🏻

Not an expert on optics but this is a well made, ergonomic, easy to use monocular at very reasonable cost.

Just received this item and on its way to be returned.on the same day received. To be honest, comparing it to the Vortex Solo 10x36, I find that the Hawke Endurance is way too unstable compared to to the Vortex Solo. The clarity is good and bright unfortunately the shaking can cause eye strain or headaches. The item was received that seems to be used not new. The monocular was just wrapped by plastic and didn’t include a bag or a case. Very disappointing when you paid full price but received something with a lesser value item. I called customer service prior to returning but was advised to just return it.

Likes that it is powerful and well built spotting scope. Crystal clear optics and smooth action. Durable chassis

I have always wanted a decent monocular and these do not disappoint. Close up viewing if needed at a little over 6 feet and be able to see the eyes of a squirrel at about 75 yards. I have bad eyes with multiple problems that cause double vision and blurriness. The clarity of the ED glass makes it a joy to use.

Monoculaire acheté pour l’observation lors de randonnées . Compact, très bonne qualité de l’optique. Champs assez grand, bonne luminosité . Matériel de qualité .

Ich habe mir das Monocular HAWKE ENDURANCE ED 10x42 für den Einsatz beim Bogenschießen zur Zielbeobachtung bei Entfernungen von 10 bis 60m bestellt. Der Ablauf ist Schussabgabe, falls notwendig ein möglichst kurzer Blick durch Monocular, nächster Schuss. Deshalb lag mein Schwergewicht bei der Beurteilung auf leichte Bedienbarkeit und praktische Handhabung, weniger bei der optischen Qualität. Getestet habe ich am Schießplatz mit Stativ und im 3D Parcours ohne Stativ, bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und am Abend bei beginnender Dämmerung. Die optische Qualität ist gut, Stativgewinde ist vorhanden und die vordere Objektivabdeckung ist fix montiert um Verlust zu vermeiden, nur die hintere Okularabdeckung ist lose (leicht mit einer Schnur oder einem kleinen Kabelbinder zu beheben) Das Focussierrad ist leichtgängig daher ist die Bedienung mit einer Hand gut machbar aufgrund der Größe wahrscheinlich auch mit Handschuhen noch zu bedienen, eine praktische Gürteltasche, ein Putztuch, sowie eine Tragriemen und ein Aufbewahrungsbeutel sind dabei. Größe 143mm, Gewicht 325g, Sichtbereich auf 1000m ca, 100m Vorteile: Größe und Gewicht, praktische Gürteltasche und Tragriemen Nachteile: lose Okularabdeckung Fazit: Bis auf die lose Okularabdeckung sehr praktisch, deshalb habe ich mich für das Monocular HAWKE ENDURANCE ED 10x42 entschieden.

The monocular itself seems great. Good price. Easy to use and awesome clarity from a quick initial check. Two stars lost due to sending an over $200 item from the UK to Australia with no protective (bubble) wrap. Seriously, you couldn’t spare 20cents of bubble wrap!!! I hope nothing in the monocular has been damaged/knocked loose due to this. Please in future make sure all FRAGILE items are wrapped accordingly.

Consegnato integro e nei tempi,grazie Amazon. Leggero, semplice,potente il giusto che con una mano non balla tutto Lo usi comodamente con una mano, la messa a fuoco e semplice e di facile utilizzo. Lo uso nelle mie escursioni, sta comodo in una tasca del zaino. Anche quando tiro al bersaglio mi e molto utile per rilevare i colpi. Gran prodotto di qualità, da Hawke azienda che non delude mai, consigliatissimo.
