I needed a digital camera w/video for my granddaughter and just other daily memories and read a-lot of reviews and seemed to like this one. i like the name on it Canon pretty trusted name. It came pretty darn quickly and it didn't take 24hrs to charge the battery, it only took like an hour and half, which was an awesome surprise, because she was visiting that day.It takes clear crisp pictures and video is easy to turn on w/a button on back. I haven't discovered all this camera has to offer yet, but I like what i see so far. It's a great price and easy to use. i would recommend it for anybody, but i am not a proffessional, but don't see why it can't be a great back up or glovey compartment ready camera!

Not a great experience. Didn’t come with battery charger and all instructions were in Japanese. Downloaded instructions from online and camera wouldn’t power up. Says only selll in Japan do not sell on other countries right on the packaging so I guess if you live in Japan this is a good one but if you don’t, don’t waste your time!

Purchased camera for daughter as her first camera. The quality pictures this camera takes are very impressive. This camera can take better pictures than other higher dollar cameras that I have had. I recommend this camera for quality pictures, ease of use, and size that makes it easy to carry/travel with.

I enjoy the simplicity of using this camera. It's easy to hold and the setting are easy to change. The bronze color makes it easy to locate, when I lay it down, at gathering of friends or family.

I finally stopped swimming against the current and went digital. It was hard giving up on using my Canon AE1 35 mm film camera and about 3500 dollars worth of lenses. I purchased this camera for the same price as I would spend on 2 rolls of Kodachrome asa 25 and its development. Plus no worries about the fogging of my pictures going through airport and ship securities. However I am still trying to learn all it does and how to do it but it has been great so far. I would urge any of my Luddite friends to give this pocket sized camera a chance. Oh and I do not have to turn off the lights while showing my "captive" audiences my travel adventures and can prod those falling asleep.

I bought it hoping it would be a back up for my Sony cyber shot, It's not ! I'm a very experienced photographer who was hoping for a clean easy to access camera that would be tough. The workmanship was cheaper than expected from Canon, and controls are more awkward and cute than functional. It was driving me nuts, so I gave it to a total beginner and that worked out for them. I then bought a Fujifilm FinePix as my back up. So far so good. If you have lot's of experience with cameras skip the Canon.

This Camera arrived without a memory card!! Very disappointing!! Therefore, it caused a delay before it could be used!!! Had to get a memory card before it could be used by my grandson!! A sad disappointment!!

I love my A3400! It's lightweight yet durable, small enough to fit in my pocket, and has a really big viewing screen! I've had other Canon cameras before, which made using the different buttons and options really easy. I also like that you can turn off the touchscreen option. I really love playing with some of the different picture effects, like the "toy camera" and the "super vivid" effects, and the "discreet" function is awesome for taking pictures during church ceremonies or other places where you don't want a flash or any camera noises. The only thing I don't like is that, unlike my last Canon digital camera, I can no longer select a bunch of pictures and delete them all at once. I can only either delete them one at a time or all at once. A minor quibble, however.

I wanted a small easy to use camera to carry when I go hiking. I did lots of research and this camera looked the best. The price on Amazon was the cheapest so I bought it here. I love this camera.
