Futura 26 cm Flat Tava, Non Stick Tawa with Stainless Steel Handle, Induction Tawa with Rim, Pancake Pan, Flat Pan, Black (INFT26)

After going through many non-stick griddles I decided on purchasing the Futura Flat Griddle to cook my blueberry pancakes on Sunday mornings. The griddle I replaced was only about two years old and I was tired of smelling toxic fumes from the plastic handle being too close to the flame and melting. I am ecstatic about this griddle. It’s heavy-weight aluminum with a unique steel handle that is raised away from the heat source and stays cool to the touch. The unit is stamped with a serial number on the bottom and a warranty card which are signs of a quality product. It also comes with a cookbook, one wooden spatula, and a cleaning scrubby. Like I mentioned before I use this for pancakes and they come out great. For eggs, grilled cheese, wraps, and so on, I use my Lodge iron skillet instead. I’m sure anyone can cook a complete breakfast with the Futura but I just use it for my pancakes for its excellent no-stick properties. Clean up is easy. I store it inside my oven on the bottom rack along with the Lodge because I am limited on space. The Futura won’t get scratched storing it inside the oven either. The Future is perfect non-stick, non-plastic handle cookware that is quality and will probably be the last griddle I’ll ever buy. Get one and see for yourself. P.S. Amazon says it has a plastic handle. This is in error.

This is a very nice heavyweight griddle that I bought for my induction cooktop. Hard to find a lot of nonstick cookware that works with induction. It's a good size pan with sides that are low enough to easily turn items such as crepes and pancakes. I can make three medium sized pancakes or two mickey mouse pancakes (kid favorite) with no problem. It's has a larger cooking surface than my larger skillet (8"? shown in photo at bottom, top pan is the griddle) Heating is even. Handle is strange because it sticks up, but it simply gets turned out of the way like the rest of the cookware handles.

This tawa is a versatile tool that is perfect for an induction cooktop. Omelettes with room for bacon on the side fit this skillet. Pancakes brown evenly and cook quickly. It should be ideal for cooking Indian food like nan and roti. It heats quickly and evenly, and is very responsive to the instant changes in cooking temperature possible with induction cooking. Using medium heat is best to avoid damage to the non-stick coating. It is also very easy to clean and needs no seasoning to maintain its non-stick coating. This one is a keeper!

I've had this pan for about 2 weeks now, and I've used it 3 times. When I purchased it I was under the impression it was dishwasher safe, but according to the instructions it is not. It's a fine griddle and works well. It is small, but the size is clearly described. You'll get two pancakes on it at a time if you're lucky. The handle stays nice and cool, and the pan is nice and flat and heats evenly on my induction cooktop.

Perfect for making roti . Cleans easy and seems very durable.

Perfect tawa for Indian cooking. Used it for making Phulka, paratha, dosa, jowar Rotla / Bhakri. Every item comes out well. I think even pancakes & crepes should come out well but have not tried yet. It's light weight. I clean it with warm soapy water, very easy to clean. Handle remains cold, only base gets heated. I use it on gas stove but I think it will work efficiently on other cooktops as well. Glad I bought this. 8.5" it is just perfect as we make that size rotis. I have a 10" futura tawa as well but now I use this for everything. Very happy with the product & I certainly recommend it.

Brilliant, induction friendly, easy to use and clean and comes with a little recipe booklet.

Absolute saver and value for money. We bought this, and in a household where Dosa is a necessity, this has been our savior. Easy to make, and very easy to clean, and barely we have issues with burning or anything. Nice product, and very good quality. Thickness also seems to be right for how the heat distribution is really coming out well.
