Works Quickly
Was having Trigger finger in pinky finger. Gripping anything small like a fork or toothbrush would lock it. Finger was very sore. Put Oval-8 on and could tell difference in overall soreness overnight. The splint really allows finger to rest and would not allow it to move into the lock position. Splint was very comfortable and easy to wear and sleep in. I wore it full time first 3-4 days and have start taking off for hours at time without finger triggering to a locked position. A little bit of soreness as a result of finger being held in straight position but that goes away quickly after taking splint off and moving finger freely. Oval-8 has been a very effective product for me. Only issue was sizing. Went to Oval-8 web site printed out instructions to measure finger. Ordered a single splint only because the singles delivered overnight and the 3 size packs were taking a week plus. First splint was small but still comfortable enough to wear. Ordered next size up as soon as I put the first one on. Once in correct size it's almost like it's not on.

Works well and made in the USA!
This finger splint works so well! Iโm taking the time to review as I saw a review where the buyer was wearing the splint backwards, so of course that doesnโt work. Wear it properly and it will prevent your finger from bending. I purposely bought from this company and paid more as itโs made in the USA! Buy the other ones and you get 5 or 6, but notice they are all different sizes. Itโs important to measure your finger at the knuckle to get the right size for you. I will say the packaging is a little misleading as there are TWO in the picture but you only get one. I think the seller should consider putting two in the package, considering both the package picture as well as the price.

WORTH IT, but measure carefully.
This is a great product, the only issue I take with it is not having a return or exchange option should you get the size wrong, so measure carefully. This was needed for a Trigger Thumb issue. Ordered a size 6 and it was too small. No returns, so I ended up ordering again; a size 8. Great fit. Tips: -Use a measuring tape. -If you find yourself in-between measurements order the size that's bigger. - If you do not have a measuring tape, use a strip of paper to measure around your thumb and then measure the strip of paper. It's worth it once you get the right size. While wearing it: No pain or discomfort, can wash your hands without taking it off. Discreet in comparison to other similar products. Trigger Thumb is improving after one month of consistent use. Less pain and the thumb does not get stuck in a bent position now. Still, some stiffness but the improvement is great.

Trigger Finger: Side Note it's only 1 piece I can't read apparently
I recently work in a lab where I'm opening and closing little vial lids all day long and I've begun seeing signs of trigger finger. The swelling has gone down to a moderate degree (not completely but not to the point I'm putting ice packs on my fingers and taking medication to help with the swelling) there was no initital pain before I bought this, but there was a numbing sensation that hasn't appeared since I've used this. It's comfortable unless your finger is swelling more than when you initially measured so I would recommend getting the pack with three different sizes. Initially this fit too small even with the looser side (and yes somehow one side fits snugger than the other) but I've been able to use it on the tighter side after 2 weeks of use so far. The 4 stars for comfort is only because it's doing its job and inhibiting certain movements with your finger. Its not painful and you don't notice it after an hour or so of use. Its a learning curve but you will adapt without even realizing it. It has not slowed me down at work in the slightest. The 4 stars for pain releif is because I didn't have any shooting/sharp pain before I used this so I can't attest to that and since I know this is a symptom of trigger finger I don't feel comfortable giving this 5 stars since I can't attest to that. I can say it decreased swelling and has prevented the numbness from occurring. I recommend taking breaks with it. Everytime I change gloves (~3 hours) I'll take this off to let my finger stretch otherwise you'll feel a tad bit sore in the joint of your finger. This soreness goes away over a couple of minutes, but its kind of like the idea of don't sit for more than 2 hours stretch your legs etc. Its preventing your finger from essentially bending too far and it stops it by putting a slight pressure on your joint. That joint after unuse will get slightlty sore once its able to bend fully. So taking breaks will help prevent that soreness from occuring. Sorry for the paragraphs hope this helps!

Works well for trigger thumb
This item is great for keeping trigger thumb straight. I had to add a bandage over it so it wouldn't slip off. At $11+, I don't want to lose it. Three stars because It's also a rather high price for a small bit of plastic and only one piece is in the package. I'm looking for somewhere else to purchase more of them at a hopefully lower price. Having said that, it does the trick and I can wear it constantly, even when washing hands. It does interfere a bit with the function of my thumb but it's preferable to the popping.

Fantastic finger splint!
This is a fantastic finger splint for a trigger finger! This splint is very comfortable and easy to use. It is plastic, so it is easy to wash your hands with it on while cooking. It is flesh colored, so it is nearly invisible. It is even easy to type with it on. If necessary, it slips on and off in a second. It's an interesting little splint, in that it is able to be turned and put on in the opposite direction to provide a slightly different fit. Put it on one way and it's a little tighter. Put it on the opposite way and it's a little more loose. I read that sizing could be a problem and I was a worried about that. My trigger finger is my middle finger, which is slightly larger than my ring finger. Since my ring finger is a size 7 for rings, I bought a size 8 and it was very slightly tight for a few hours. But it was still quite comfortable. Of course, where on your finger you need to wear the splint would make a difference, such as the end of finger or middle of finger. But it is returnable, if you return it in a timely manner. The best part is that in just a few days it is obvious my trigger finger has improved markedly. I will wear the splint for the full 6 weeks my doctor recommends, though, and it won't be a problem with this little splint.

Oval 8 returned. Polymer clay mold putty thank you!!!
I tried this and returned it the next day. If you have sensitive skin, this hard plastic digs into your finger with every twitch of your finger. It was extremely uncomfortable. I make polymer clay miniatures and I had some simple mold putty on hand so i took a hunk of that and 3 minutes later had a perfect mold of my finger 1-1/2" long to sit at the base of my finger just covering the knuckle. I wrap it every night with a strip of 1/2" duck tape and the mold is soft and very comfortable. My trigger finger is almost pain free after 7-8 nights of wear and the mold putty conforms beautifully to my finger even showing pores of my skin. Amazon sells the mold putty and I highly recommend this. No irritation and after showing my Doctor we had a laugh and a thumbs up from my Doc for this simple but effective process. My Doc says this mold putty probably saved my finger from surgery. Try it!

Excellent product to alleviate pain from trigger finger
This is an excellent product to alleviate pain from trigger finger. I wear this product every night to prevent my fingers from flexing and causing extreme pain. This definitely has been a game-changer for me. I've purchased three packages, so I have one available to me at all times. They appear to be very durable, yet flexible and strong enough to keep my finger from bending.
