After reading some of the reviews, I had to laugh. Here is an honest one. The can is a nice size and holds any brand of 13-gallon bags. (at least the off brands I tried). The foot pedal works, but I find it easier to just lift the lid. Maybe when your hands are full, the pedal would be good. There are flip-up bag holders inside that are great for me. Keeps everything inside with no bag hanging out. The plastic seems to be pretty durable, and it wipes clean fairly easily. Reasonably priced, too.

I needed a new waste bin for my kitchen that was functional but didn't look like an eyesore, and this 13-gallon Glad can has been exactly what I was looking for. The matte black finish is sleek and blends in well with my appliances, but the real value is in the features that make taking out the trash less of a chore. The hands-free foot pedal is very responsive and feels sturdy underfoot. It opens the lid smoothly every time, which is a huge help when I’m middle of cooking and have my hands full. I was also pleasantly surprised by the odor protection in the lid. It does a great job of sealing in smells, so I’m not constantly reminded that the trash is half-full whenever I walk into the kitchen. One of my favorite small details is the internal bag rings. They hold the trash bag securely in place so it doesn't slip down into the bottom of the bin as it gets heavy, and they keep the edges of the bag tucked away so it looks much neater from the outside. The plastic material is easy to wipe down and doesn't show fingerprints like stainless steel does. If you want a simple, durable trash can that keeps your kitchen smelling fresh and looking organized, this is a solid choice that offers great value for the price.

It’s a nice can but a little cheaply made. Good if you don’t have young kids. Should be good if adults will take care of it. Almost everything is plastic. Not very durable. Would recommend cause it’s just me and my wife so no kids to destroy it.

It's very nice but just a lot bigger than I thought. It's nice and there are little brackets to hold your bag in place. Recommend measuring and mine just fits. Pretty hearty and seems like it will be durable.

The size is perfect for what we needed. The only complaint I have, is for the plastic pieces inside the can that the bags wrap around. They are always popping out and unless there is something holding the bag down (garbage in the bag with weight), the bars don't stay down. They pop up and it makes the bag pop up. It's just more annoying than anything else.

This garbage can is okay but not great. There are instructions for installing the lid, but I didn't need them since it came fully assembled, which I appreciated. It has two major drawbacks though. The first is that once the lid is open, you have to push it to close it. I was hoping for a can where you step on the pedal, the lid opens, you toss the trash in, then when you take your foot off the pedal the lid closes. This one doesn't do that. If you fully step on the pedal the lid opens and stays open. You have to push it with your hand to get it to close. You could be careful to put just the right amount of pressure on the foot pedal to open it just enough to toss the trash in without it opening fully, then it would close. But honestly, who wants to have to take that much care just to throw out some trash? The second problem is that there is no handle on the top. The lid fits perfectly right into the frame, with no room to spare, which is great -- except that you can't get your fingers in there. Because there is no handle, there is no way to open this lid with one hand while tossing in trash with the other. Your only option is to use the foot pedal. I get that's the purpose of the can, but sometimes you might be to the side of the can, or sitting down, or whatever, and you just want to be able to quickly open the lid and toss something in without having to position yourself right in front of it to access the pedal with your foot. It would be a huge improvement if they'd just add a simple handle so you can open the lid with your hand if needed. For these two reasons I am going to return this can. I just don't want to deal with these annoyances for the next however many years. If those things don't bother you, then the can is great. Nice quality, arrived in good condition, seems solid enough and not flimsy.

We bought one 5 years ago and after HEAVY use, the lid finally broke off so we bought another identical one. You can’t beat the price for an xl capacity kitchen trash can with a lid and foot pedal! I can’t stand how expensive other trash cans cost. Like, hellooooo, it’s a GARBAGE can. I’m not spending $180 on one. Other companies need to get a serious reality check. We have the ultra expensive metal ones in our bathrooms and they’re all dented & rusty and nasty looking anyway. Buy this one! Send those evil over-priced garbage can companies a message! 🤛

I love the capacity of this garbage can. Also it has a large opening so you can easily empty other waste basket into this larger one. It also has a holding system that holds your garbage bag in place. So it's always fitted in the garbage can. I use 30 gallon bags. When the lid is closed, no awful smells seep out. The only weakness is the opening of the lid. It's working as usual but when I first received it, the plastic nodule that is crucial for the whole foot pedal lid opening functionality to work was broken probably due to the poor shipping packaging. Each time I press the foot pedal, the lid came off of the garbage can on the side where the nodule was broken. This shows how fragile and dependent the foot pedal lid opening mechanism is. However, I returned the defective one and got a new one that works. It's working so far and it's absolutely wonderful. I hope these nodules will last. The other thing that can be improved is to put some sort of rubber under the garbage can to stop the garbage can from sliding back each time the foot pedal is pressed. It keeps on moving but this annoyance is tolerable but I would prefer if the design team would resolve this minor flaw.

The bin has been successful In keeping the odour out. We clear the bin about every 2 days. Just note that there is no soft closing. Not a feature that is advertised anyway.

Unfortunately, the foot pedal mechanism failed after just 3 days of use.

Tiene muy buen tamaño y el plástico es de buena calidad. Tuve problemas con la bisagra de la tapa, se rompió. Específicamente la bisagra trae unos anillos de plástico muy débiles, que al poco uso se desgastan y se rompen.
