Sturdy heavy duty lock
Very sturdy lock that I put on a storage unit, and it fit the door perfectly. It works smoothly and seems secure. I like that it has a cover over the keyhole since it's outside in the weather. It also came with 2 keys. There have been no rust or any other issues in the approx 4 months I've been using it. It was pricier than some of the other locks out there, but I like how unique each lock is; and, after some research, I really think ABUS takes security seriously.

Extremely solid and secure padlock!
This ABUS Diskus 20/70 is a beast. The stainless steel build feels ultra-tough, and the round/disc shape makes it much harder to cut or attack compared to regular padlocks. It’s smooth to operate, the key works perfectly, and it’s clearly built to last outdoors — no rust worries. Perfect size for gates, sheds, bikes, or containers. Gives real peace of mind. Best heavy-duty padlock I’ve bought. Highly recommend! 🔒

Happy with the purchase
Lock has a 2 cm shackle and the diameter of the lock measures 7 cm. Smaller shackle seemingly makes it more difficult for bolt cutters to work. Lock is heavier than a Brinks lock I also own which is a strong point. I purchased the lock because it received better reviews on the Internet than Masterlock or Brinks locks. Also, lock picking lawyer had difficulty opening this lock so that settled my decision to buy this item. Happy with the lock so far, no issues except at first the lock was difficult to open but that issue was resolved.

Best lock for storage lockers
I moved long distance recently so I've been looking into padlocks a lot. LOL. I wanted the more sturdy and secure I could get without breaking the bank. While this might look similar to other brands such as Master, it is WAY better!! TBH those other brand locks aren't built very well. They are super easy to pick and cut through. Just google lock picking demos to see. ABUS makes very good quality locks that won't break the bank. They are much, much harder to pick and cut through. Now any lock can be picked or cut through with enough time, you just want one that's going to last long enough to either dissuaded crooks from even bothering or take long enough that hopefully security shows up. Discus locks are the best for storage lockers because they have the least amount of exposed shackle making cutting much harder. You definitely don't want a long padlock that has lots of exposed shackle that can be easily accessed for cutting. For my move I used a POD service company and for that I got the ABUS 26/90. It was basically the biggest and strongest lock that would fit on the POD (they have a 1/2 inch maximum shackle width they can fit) . It's absolutely great!!. Unfortunately actual storage lockers have much smaller latches and won't fit it (I tried at 2 different companies that are both major players in the storage industry and a 10mm is the biggest that would fit.). I needed to get something smaller and the 20/70 was the biggest that would fit a storage locker. It's made of hardened steel that is comparatively much hard to cut through and the lock mechanism is much harder to pick than the cheaper alternatives. Compared to the larger 26/90, the 20/70 uses a different type of key and I noticed it sticks just a bit more. You need to jiggle the key a bit to get it lined up so you can unlock the lock. It's not really a hassle and once you get it to turn it turns smoothly and without any issues. It has a black plastic keyhole cover which I guess is nice. The main issue would be people gumming/gluing a lock to keep you from being to open it. This cover just pushes over so it won't stop that, but it does keep dust out. So overall I'd definitely recommend this lock. Only slight issue is the need to jiggle the key a bit to unlock it. It's the biggest and toughest I could find that fits a standard storage locker. I would definitely recommend getting this over either the free ones the storage places often throw in with your rental or lesser brands like Master. I did look into other brands that cost significantly more, but they only had a minimally better security ratings but cost 2-3x as much.

Great puck style lock. Worth the upgrade
Picked this up for my shed and honestly pretty impressed. The disc-style body is way harder to cut or pry than a normal U-lock shackle, and it feels solid — no rattle, no cheap plastic vibes. Key turns smooth, both keys worked right out of the box. It's heavy though, so don't expect a lightweight travel lock — this thing is meant to sit outside and take abuse. Been through a couple rainstorms already with zero rust showing. Only gripe: the shackle opening is a bit narrow, so make sure it'll actually fit around whatever hasp or chain you're using before you buy. Other than that, solid buy if you want real security and don't mind the bulk. 4.5/5, would recommend for sheds, gates, or anywhere you want more than a token deterrent.

Used During Move Across States
Worked just fine on our move across states. Used it on a u-haul truck. The latch that locks at the end once door is closed will have to be lifted to fit this in, but it still secures the door properly. We had no issues and feels heavy duty. I saw a lot of reviews of people breaking the key. Just use it properly. Make sure it goes in all the way, and if it doesn't, wiggle it and find the right way. Don't force it and you'll be fine.

Up Your Security For Only a Few Dollars More
Externally this lock looks very similar to so many of the other disc or puck style locks. The difference is not just that the shackle is hardened, which makes it very difficult to cut or burn through, but the Abus Plus core which uses a disc detainer system rather than a traditional, and shockingly easy to pick 4 to 5 pin system. I wanted to replace the cheapy uhaul lock that I purchased ($8, that should be the first red flag) when I got my most recent storage room. I already had a Master disc lock that was supposed to be "maximum security" Master Lock Padlock, Magnum Stainless Steel Discus Lock, 3-1/8 in. Wide, M50XD . While it is true that is does in fact have a boron carbide shackle that is exceptionally hard, harder than most hardened steel, it comes in a package that is comically easy to pick. It is worth pointing out I am not locksmith, not do I wear ski masks on the weekends and climb skyscrapers with suction cups while avoiding people with talking Trans Ams. With all that in mind, it took me about only about a few hours to learn how to pick that lock in less than a minute using (initially) metal automotive probes I modified based on what I saw in several videos. Ultimately I used some soft wire stock I crushed and modified using nothing more than a common hammer and a Dremel fit with a sanding barrel. The method is (I believe) called "zipping" or "raking". Numerous videos I have found have suggested, not in any kind of hyperbolous (sure, that's a word) fashion, that the the Abus disc detainer core locks require such a skilled smith that one video even suggested that if someone CAN pick the lock, they probably won't be the person stealing from you. Saying something is "pick proof" is a misnomer at best because in most (certainly most average CONSUMER) cases, given enough time, almost anything can be picked, as such, pick "resistant" is probably the term to use. Bottom line, this offers a MUCH higher level of security than comparable commonly recognized US consumer level products, inclusive of virtually everything found at Lowes, Home Depot, or similar big box. I was duped by the packaging, which is what many MFRs are counting on. I saw boron carbide and thought, well that MUST be the best, not realizing how easily it can be breached. Imagine keeping your Lamborghini in only a car port with a sign on the window saying, "Please don't steal this car." Live and learn I suppose. The really amazing thing about all of this is that the Abus unit is only about $10 more than the Master. I have since gotten 4 more for other needs. Money well spent, and not much at that.

Schlüssel passt in beide Richtungen.

Amazon, come sempre, impeccabile

Solide
Système de fermeture arrondie pratique avec le porte cadenas de la même marque. Le cadenas semble très solide. Néanmoins le paterne de la clé semble léger. Installé pour une porte de cave en bois.
