Joy Carpets Joy in A Box Carpet Squares, Pack of 24 (JG-832)

These carpet squares are super cute and appear to be well made, I just received them. I’m a little concerned that within the box came a note that told me not to vacuum. I don’t know if I was planning on it or not but just why not? Any vacuum? What about a hand vac? Didn’t know if it was because of the size it might get sucked into a bigger vacuum or that the pile might get ruined.

These get heavy use in my classroom, and are usually destroyed by the end of every school year. I wish there were less seams for the kids to pick at so they wouldn't fray as easily, but 5 year olds are gonna be 5 year olds

We use them for social distancing, showing where the students are to sit. We clean them after each use so everyone can stay safe and healthy.

vibrant colors

The colors are bright, the size is right, and they are non-skid. However, the white rubber backing on the back flakes off and makes a huge mess (I used to think someone was eating crackers while sitting on these mats). I would love to know if there is a way to keep them from doing this? If they weren't shedding they would get a perfect 5!

I love the bright colors and they are easy to clean. After we use them, there are little pieces of the backing left on the floor. If we carry them to another room there are also little pieces of the backing on the kids clothes.

These are colorful carpets that are large enough for primary students to sit on them. There are plenty in the box for a large classroom (24), but I would love it if they could be purchased in smaller quantities, like a box of 12 or 10. I will return to update my review at the end of the school year to report on their durability.
