Great medium sized food processor
I recently received this food processor and have already had the opportunity to use it several times. It's easy to use, cleans up in the dishwasher, and does a nice even job of chopping. I would like to address some of the complaints I've read here in the comments. First, the bowl and lid attach very similarly to all Kitchenaid food processors. I get that it might be different than how others work, and might be tricky if you aren't familiar with it, but one you understand how it works, it's easy. I've had no problems at all getting the bowl and lid to lock into place and to release. Remember -- don't force it! If it's difficult you're doing something slightly off. With regards to the complaints about sturdiness and quality -- no, this is the not same quality as my big Kitchenaid food processor that I bought in about 1985, (which still works, btw, but I can't get a new bowl!). However, I paid somewhere in the range of $350- $400 for that one back in 1985! So, no, I don't expect this food processor to be as heavy duty as the old one. Still, the motor runs smoothely, the base has some weight to it, and it works just fine! I don't expect it will last 40 years like the last one, but for the price, that's ok. I almost didn't buy this one based on some of the reviews. I'm glad I took the chance and tried it. It's a great little machine, works well, and doesn't take up too much room on my counter.

Great product
Works great. Good size for most uses. Lid is a bit tricky to figure out. Love it!

great little product!
I bought this to use in my RV as its small size is easy to stow. Chops quickly and evenly so does the job. I appreciate that it's 5 cups instead of three cups, so I can chop more. They accomplish this with a taller bin. I worried that the tall size would affect chopping efficiency, but it's not an issue. It works so well, I use it at home. Why use this over my full size food processor? With my big unit, all the bowls, lids, and blades fill up my dishwasher, while the parts from this only take up a small space in the dishwasher drawer. Some notes about how this works: You twist on the bowl, drop in the spindle, slip the blade over the spindle, then twist on the lid. A lever on the side is marked "chop" and "pulse" but it's actually low speed/high speed. To activate, you press a tab on top of the handle; hold to spin, tap to pulse. You get two processing attachments which fit over the spindle: a metal cutting blade and a plastic disk (used for emulsifying stuff like salad dressings. It works well.) There's a slot at the base where you can wrap the cord in a tidy way. Overall, a great product.

Great compact gadget
Great product, nothing fancy, gets the job done. Small and compact, easy storage. Has 2 settings, chop and puree. I’ve only used puree but it works great.

Opening lid instruction incomplete but it works well
I’d rate it five stars but their instructions for opening the lid in the owner manual are incomplete and frustrate many new users. See my photos and instructions below that show you how to open it. My first photo shows you the poor instruction at item 1, with a tiny illustration that’s incomplete and partly covered. The Chopper arrives with the lid firmly held in place for shipping with a white plastic foam spacer. The lid is held by friction fit under the pulse button. The first time you open it, it’ll be slightly harder because of the foam spacer. Grip the top edges of the lid at the pulse button and move it counterclockwise to open it. You’ll feel it let go of the friction grip. Now, throw away that foam spacer. Now when I open it, I use my left hand to help twist the lid and my right hand at the friction button, as seen in my photos. After you’ve done this once, you’ll know how. Here’s why I like the Food Chopper. I wanted something that’s small and can make purees and sorbet and similar things, like pesto or guacamole. Last night I quickly created strawberry sorbet. I first removed the whisking disc, then added frozen strawberries and pulsed them until they were strawberry ice. Next I added a few tablespoons of yoghurt, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of agave syrup. I blended this until it was smooth. Then I removed the blade by gripping the top of the center post and pulling it out. We spooned the sorbet to top our pie slices right out of the blender container, which lifts off of the Food Chopper. I bought this because I have a Vitamix, and it’ll make sorbets like this, but you can’t get all of the blend out of the bottom because the blender is deep and you can’t remove the blade. I’m glad to have the Food Chopper as a very useful cooking tool. It’s also easy to clean because you can remove the center post and blade.

Small and powerful
This is such a great food processor that won’t take up space under the cabinets. Big enough to hold a good amount of stuff but small enough not to take up space!! Does a great job!!

I bought this machine to replace the similar cordless model that failed after two years of use. I like the capacity and the powerful motor. Cord storage is simple and it looks nice on the counter. I think my favourite feature is the “whipping disc”. I use it to make mayonnaise and ceasar salad dressing from scratch. It is also very good for chopping vegetables. It is now on my gift list for the home cooks in my life.

Works well and highly recommend it. Easy to tuck away in a cupboard and not heavy. Does what I expected it to do. For the price you can't go wrong.
