I'm glad I chose the black color, which is beautiful. Also, I think in a previous order, I'd bought a men's size, which was very large. In this case, it says, "women's 1460", and it turns out that it fits really well and looks a heck of a lot smaller than a men's version. (I realize men's sizing is different, but even when getting the correct size when converting to a women's size, they seem larger). Anyway, I'm very happy with these.

Best Feature: Classic, timeless, rugged as neat and def gets the work done. Worth the price even if it's NOT made in England, as the old/vintage ones were. Hello, it's been decades. Let's face it. Worst/Confusing Feature: Is not the boot itself BUT the sizing. I wear a regular 7.5 for flipflops/sandals, 8 for closed shoes/sneakers, 9 for all nikes/boots. As if it's not confusing enough, almost every review mentions how the sizing is either "too big...or too small". It will test your instincts if you can only buy stuff online. Personal Fit: With hiking socks, size 8 fit like a glove AFTER a bit of struggle to slide the forefoot in. After a few hours of a jolly kitchen and living room hiking, no longer felt stiff on the toe part. With any boot with no zippers, you need Herculean arm strength to take it off, esp when the calves are not wide like most rain boots. Other info: NOT waterproof per description. It survived a sprinkle only because they're easy to run with. Grips well on rain and will never test this on oil. Warm if worn with thick socks but that depends how warm warm is for you. It provides complete ankle support. Exactly as pictured BUT less shiny BUT also not matte. Came in with a brand new scent, no wrinkles, perfect brand new condition. Online desc says "Made in USA or Imported". Tag says "Made in Vietnam". It's like saying, "it's made here OR there". Possible Source of Discomfort: Im overseeing chaffing on the inside of calf part as it rubs with any fabric frequently. But only time can tell. It felt uncomfortable without socks and rubbed the calves at every step. Overall: It still lives up to its rep IMO. Worth the hype and price.

Best purchase I've made in a while. Though I was expecting to receive the Smooth leather style, I was (accidentally?) shipped the Nappa leather style, and I'm actually glad I was. The Nappa leather is so perfectly soft and wearable right out of the box. The boots are very comfortable, and only took me a couple days of wearing to really break them in. The bottoms have a great grip to them which helps at my job, and the boots are very stylish and go with every outfit. I even went to a dance club in these puppies and had a great time. I spent a week searching around online for the best price and for which style I should buy. This was the best choice all around. Shipment was extremely fast, I believe I received them in a matter of 3 days with free shipping. Love love love. I may end up purchasing sole inserts because I have juuuuust barely too much wiggle room (but they're still perfectly comfortable as-is.). I ordered a size UK 5 women's, and I generally wear a size 7.5 US women's.

I love the boots but hate that I they dont have a zipper like my other combat boots they took a day to break in so that was awesome I love the matte black my only complaint is I cant just slide them on i almost sent them back because im always in a hurry and cant just slip these on but over all im very satisfied with keeping them. Oh and I had to size down im usually an 8 amd had to send them back to get a size down the 8a were too big

I do wonder how they will wear over time , but at the great sale price I was able to get them at, I figure I’ll be no worse off as I have been with buying a cheap-ish synthetic leather boot every 12 months due to how often the gift recipient wears them. Leather looks good. Has a little texture and is muted black so that will help conceal scuffs. I normally am a 9.5 with a low i step and the 10 leaves a bit of room at toe with a regular weight crew sock and it isn’t tightly around my ankle, but they aren’t meant for me. As such there does not seem to be a need for “breaking in” period. They are pretty light for this style of shoe. Hopefully the gift recipient likes them. Super versatile and love the waterproof/slide proof rubber sole.

I have always purchased size 6 in docs but these were overall too small and the stitching at the dorsal surface of the foot makes it even smaller narrower entrance to foot. Making it seem not true to size? Definitely if a half size like 6.5 order size up, I will be ordering a 7 in these. But they do seem comfy and not too heavy.

Had them over a year and they're still going strong. They're amazing. They keep your feet warm, they're very reliable, very strong and durable (wearability.) I use them for work and I love them. I will advise you need to wear thick socks until they're bedded in because they will tear the back of your feet apart, so be prepared. The value for money is alot but it is worth it. They are sturdy (stiffness).
