Carbon Express Tru Fire Hardcore Buckle with Foldback Release, Black

I had been frustrated with my past wrist releases. They all worked flawlessly but were always banging at inopportune times while I was in the deer stand. The foldback option of the Tru Fire Hardcore is a great idea! I can climb into my stand, glass, use my rangefinder, text all without the untimely bump of my release hitting on something. Additionally, the release works flawlessly and has a great range of adjustments to make it fit to how I want to use it.

Works well, needed to adjust my draw length after I began using it though. Once everything was tuned it is a smooth release that is comfortable to wear. People that give this product a bad review probably have to work more on following through post-shot.

for what i got it for (50% off) this was amazing the quality is good and the trigger is crisp well worth the full price as well the adjustable length makes it easy to use and the set screw makes it stay. it is foldable however its not as nice folding as some others it stays either folded or not tho and that is nice

I have been a finger tab shooter my entire bow hunting life, which is about 25 years. When I switched to this trigger release per recommendation from a friend, my accuracy and shot placement improved and I feel much more confident in my shot now. Within 1 week of shooting with this trigger release I was able to harvest a deer. The learning curve is little but the payoff was big. I should have switched a long time ago.

As a compound archer who's constantly looking for gear that will give me an edge while maximizing efficiency and performance, I was looking for an index release with a hook to replace the double caliper release I had previously. I chose the Hardcore because of the foldback design as well as because the price on Amazon beat anywhere else by a fair margin. The first Hardcore I was shipped had either a damaged or incorrect hex screw inside the trigger, resulting in me being unable to adjust trigger travel whatsoever. A replacement was shipped to me, and that one could be adjusted, but the 1/16th allen wrench on my Pine Ridge Archery allen wrench set didn't fit. Neither did two others I had. I did find that the ".050" allen wrench did fit, although it was almost too small. It did still allow adjustment, but I was constantly worried I'd either damage the adjustment screw or the allen wrench itself. So far so good. That said, the reason for the 1-star deduction is that even when shorted up to the absolute max, I still find it's not quite short enough to get the index finger wrap around the trigger that I'm looking for. The trigger is not intended to be operated with the tip of the finger, but countless compound archery pros teach online that the index finger should be wrapped around the trigger very deeply. I find myself constantly wishing I could get it even just 1/8 inch shorter. It works, and I'll keep it, but I may replace it in the future. All that said, the trigger does break pretty cleanly. I'm pleased with that. I'm pleased with the comfort of the wrist strap, although I wonder if the Hardcore Max would actually be even more comfortable. I also wonder if the trigger pressure adjustment on the Max would also be good to have. The wrist strap tab is a great touch so the end of the strap doesn't flop around. With respect to the trigger head assembly, I like that it has a couple different axis of flexibility to effectively minimize/eliminate accidental torque on the bow string as well. It's a great wrist release, and I LOVE the hook vs. caliper. I just wish I could shorten the length by that extra 1/8 inch.

This was purchased as a backup release for the archery season. Worked well and shoots like my primary release!

Being a noob I tightened this down like my life depended on it and the next day my wrist was swollen like the neck of a pelican that just ate a tuna. Then I found the adjustment for the depth between wrist and d-loop "lol". When all was said and done I was shooting a brand new sas feud set at 55# ,20 yard shots with golf ball size groups in about 30 shots. Last bow I shot was about 43 years ago and both bow and arrow where of grand fiberglass construction. Needless to say this is a top notch piece of equipment that allows easy positioning of the hook into and out of the d- loop.

I Really like this Release! adjustability and function are great! The folding release portion is a huge plus!
