11' Fiberglass Running Electrical Wire Cable Pulling Fish Tape Kit with 5 Different Attachments and Fish Tape Tool in a Carrying Case

I recently had to run some cable through the walls in my house and honestly wasn’t sure if I would actually need a fish tape kit like this. After using it, I’m really glad I bought it and added it to my tool collection. It made the job much easier and worked exactly as it should. The rods were easy to use, flexible enough for navigating through walls, and felt durable during use. One thing I liked more than expected was the multiple attachments that come with the kit. I ended up using the magnetic attachment quite a bit, and it actually worked really well for helping guide and retrieve cable in tighter spaces. I also liked that it comes with a protective storage case, which helps keep everything organized and protected when not in use. This tool worked as intended. Only a minor issue. One of the threaded ends hadn’t been attached fully to the fiberglass rod and pulled off. I was able to reattach it with epoxy but I will only use it as the last rod if needed. Don’t want that end to detach in the middle of a pull. It will still work in a 22’ pull as long as none of the other ends detach. They were all inspected and appear to be fully attached. I had wondered why one rod was longer by a quarter inch.

The rods seem to be what I was expecting. Inexpensive hardware that functions adequately. However, the rods (all of them) have adhesive residue on them. Enough to where they only come out of the tube all together. If I pick up one rod, I get 4. Maybe they were once wrapped in cheap packing tape? They must be cleaned before using, especially near insulation. Edit: Upon further inspection, I think these were probably used and returned. There is some damage to a couple rods. Shame on someone. Added a star for the product. This behavior is not the manufacturer's fault but still hurts the end user. Update: I did not try to contact the seller but they reached out to me and offered to resolve the issue. As the product is fine and the customer service is outstanding, I have revised my rating again. Amazon however, needs to work on their returned item inspection. They've burned me 3 times now.

This fiberglass running/pulling wire is great for light work. It is simple to assemble and easy to carry. It seems durable.

Used the puller a few times and then one of the screw pieces came off. I guess they are just cramped on, and not that well. Did not use a lot of force to pull the wire. Update: The seller contacted me and was very professional and concerned about the product. I kept on using the puller and did not have any more issues with it. Guess it was a just a one time issue. With 16 pieces, it was not a big deal. The puller is still much better then what I had before.

This is a well thought out product. Having separate sections is really smart. The extra pieces to hold the item you want to pull through works well. However, I gave a lower rating because the pieces are too flexible. It is nice to have flexibility when pulling or pushing the rods through something. However, when I used it in the wall I could not get hold of the rods. If you put any pressure on the rods to move them, they just flex but don't move the way you want them to go. It took me a considerable amount of time and tools to grab the rod and pull it out of the hole. I would next time purchase the metal tape so I have more control over where it goes.

Such a useful tool. Trying to fish a wire from a lower outlet to one for a wall mounted tv. Tried numerous times just using the romex wire, couldn’t get it to the other opening. As soon as this tool came, put the sections together and used the provided hook with a couple of sections and within a couple of minutes the wire was right there by the opening. Saved me so much time. Excellent deal too, local home improvement store was twice the price and this one included hook and loop tools and was longer. Highly recommend this item for the DYI person.

The parts are great. I use this for all cable runs.

Happy with product delivery duration & product itself appears to be of good quality & as advertised, however have not yet had the opportunity to use the product for the tasks it was designed for

Great product and high quality. Good kit for all your cable running needs and packs down to such a small collection for easy storage, all the adapters make cable running so much easier.

Pros: These rods are very thin which works great for fishing wires rough walls. Multiple extensions can be attached to reach further in the wall. These come with multiple attachments. Cons: They are not as flexible as I would have expected but this can be a good thing as you do not want them curling in the wall and it gives a bit of strength when pushing through insulation. The magnet attachment isn't strong enough to be useful. These were packaged and stipped only in bubble wrap. I ended up cutting one of the ends of the storage tube by accident when opening it because they were not packaged properly.
