Do yourself a favor and turn your socks inside out and where the socks that way. Why have the soft smooth side on the outside of your feet? Feels better, try it. These are perfect socks for me as I work on my feet 10 hours a day as a construction plumber. I like how these stay up my calf, compress my feet, hold up to abuse, and are affordable. The very best socks are the darn tough ones made in Vermont but those cost 24 bucks a pair. These are the second best overall but for the price you'll be hard pressed to find a better made quality sock for your work boots.

I always wore white, athletic, crew socks, and then I realized that when coupled with a pair of cargo pants, or even a pair of blue jeans it looked really awkward to see blinding white socks between a pair of dark pants and dark shoes. Yes, yes... I'm well aware of my fashion faux pas, but finally got around to wearing holes in my white socks enough to warrant buying a whole new drawer full of fresh socks. I had, however, a bit of a search criteria for the socks I was going to order. They needed to come in enough colors to go with my different pants colors (specifically, black, olive, blue, and brown). They needed to be crew size. They needed to be slightly on the thicker side without being hot. With all of that decided, I searched out my options without bias of pre-disposition. I then found the Mirmaru M205's.Pre-Purchase:I liked several things about these socks from the start; they came in all the colors I wanted and more, I liked the pattern they had rather than being a solid, boring color, and I liked that they had good reviews from previous customers. About the only thing I didn't like was the pre-packaged options. Since I wanted black, blue, green, and brown I would have liked something more along with those colors grouped together, but I ended up selecting the 2 Black, 2 Gray, 1 Olive pack, and the Olive, Purple, Blue, Brown, and Red pack. Who knows... maybe one day I'd love owning a pair of bright red socks?Arrival:The socks arrived quickly, were as ordered, and were each banded together inside a larger plastic bag. I pulled out a pair and slipped them on to check the fit, and immediately got a sense of their thickness as well as fit. The "tube" of the sock was snug enough on my leg to feel like they'd stay up, though the elastic or rubber holding the absolute top of the cuff was a bit on the tight side. The "compression" ring around the arch of your foot wasn't too tight - which is good for me. When those get too tight I find them a bit uncomfortable and almost hot on the foot. ...and I thought the pattern in person was way cool - especially seeing it on your foot.After Several Wearings:The socks are great. Though they do thicken up after washing, I don't find them too thick or hot to wear on most any occasion. Not that they'd be your go-to pick in the summer, but I'd imagine hot days might prove too much for these socks as they are somewhere on the warmer side than the cooler side. I have size 13 feet, and I found these socks to be a delightful fit - almost tailored to my feet. I've also found that in spite of the gray pattern on them, when exposed while I'm siting or crossing my legs, the gray at the heel only just shows over the cuff of my shoe.5 of 5 Stars:Why five stars? Fit, color options, and thus far, durability. There's no loose strings, no seems poking or rubbing, no shrinking, or loosening, and the color seems to be holding up. Have I put the miles on these socks? No, not yet, but from what I've worn they have been holding up quite well. I gave them 5 of 5 stars because of all my needs, they have met them all. I can wear these socks with my regular, day to day clothes, and wear them in the mountains while hiking or working. Finally, for the product I've received, I've found them to be a surprising value.

I have bought these socks several times. They are very comfortable and warm, durable, and you cannot beat the price.

I never thought I'd need these, but I figured I'd buy some to go with my new boots, usually I just use generic boot socks, but holy heck was I wrong, these are great, I barely ever sweat in these unless I'm doing 10+ miles up straight and they are incredibly comfortable.Update ~ 1 year later:So these are holding up and in that year I've done a lot of hiking in boots and whatnot and in that years I've learned a lot. These are still great, BUT now I have used them against full synthetic or smart wool socks and unfortunately they cannot compete, if these get wet they dry faster than cotton, but nowhere near as fast as smart wool. On top of that they are not as good at wicking away sweat as a full synthetic sock. They were really great though until I started using more expensive options, now i can't imagine hiking in these, that being said they have developed no holes or show much sign of wear and I've sort of just incorporated them into my daily wear socks and they are comfortable and do great.

Update June 25, 2017: Finally had a heel in one sock blowout. So a little over 9 months for that to happen. All the other socks are still in good shape though. I am beyond impressed by these socks.Let me say up front that I am a UPS Driver and am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day. I blow through socks in weeks sometimes. That is why I have been searching for socks that could take a beating and yet be comfortable. These socks are hands down the best socks I have ever owned in my life. They are tight but not overly tight. More of a compression sock feel that gives greatly needed support. They are warm without making your feet sweat. Best of all they last and stay in great shape even 5 months later. Which for me and my job is quite impressive. I will never buy another type of sock again. Got these beginning of September 2016, coming up on the beginning of February now and they are still in excellent shape. Two things that would normally cause all previous socks to start to fail and rip are my tough heels that can get quite callused. This would result in a blowout in the heel of the sock. The other thing was sometimes untrimmed toenails would catch the inner fabric and cause a small run that would ultimately lead to the toes failing. Neither of these things has happened to these wonderful socks. I can't say how happy I have been with these. Highly recommended.

Bought these as I stupidly bought some too tight fitting boots, and needed some thinner walking socks. These are great. Seem very strong, fit snugly.No complaints!

I bought these sock for work. I work outside and walk many, many miles in both boots and wellies. Over the years I've learned to use a two sock system to save my feet from damage. These socks are perfect as my inner socks. They are both well fitting and low wearing whilst working very well with my outer sock. So what does that mean? Well they don't fall down and bunch up around my toes and they don't seem to wear excessively whilst working to the benefit of my feet with the outer sock and all that equals no blisters or rubbing and therefore happy feet. Worth the money

Will be throwing out all my old socks and replacing them with these. Super comfy and fit great.
