ASUS E203 E203MAH-FD005T 11.6-inch Laptop (Celeron N4000/4GB/500GB/Windows 10/Integrated Graphics), Star Grey

Ordered on 2nd Feb 2019, delivered on 3rd Feb 2019 with Prime single day free delivery. Bought for 19990/- INR with HDFC Zero cost EMI. I already have ThinkPad Core i7 laptop and was looking for an easy to carry with good battery life laptop that I can carry with me during travel and out of station trips. I shortlisted iPad and this little companion, iPad was good in all the aspects just that it has no full-fledged OS, but this laptop has full-fledged OS with no restrictions. Off course we cannot compare performance to even Core i3 but it is from different category of Celeron N4000 onboard processor with emphasis of battery life and mobility. With this laptop you can easily surf web in chrome, watch you tube videos, Netflix, read pdf's (that’s what I was looking for). PROS (in this price point): 1. Good screen (I was little skeptical before ordering but after using it, I can say that it has a nice screen) 2. Battery life (depends on the usage, you can get anywhere between 06 to 10 hours) 3. Portable (you can easily carry it in your backpack 4. Fast charging 5. Compact charger (what is the use of compact laptop if you need to carry big power brick to charge it) 6. Ample storage (500 GB) hard disk CONS:- 1. If only ASUS can give N5000 (quad core) processor in it 2. If only ASUS can give 128 GB SSD instead of 500 GB SATA 5400 RPM hard disk Most probably ASUS can incorporate these suggestions in late 2019 in the E203 product line up TIP:- Just don't compare it with Core i3, Core i5 and you are good to go. Celeron N4000 coupled with 4GB DD4 RAM is good enough for basic tasks - Reading, Watching videos on YouTube or Netflix, Surfing on Chrome web browser. I don't play games so cannot on gaming performance, but I don’t think this machine is gaming capable. Note: Will be editing this review after using this laptop for some time... for now 5 stars for it.

Otherwise a decent laptop - good build, functions well etc, but rather slow. Buy it only if you need the most basic functions.

Pros: 1) Rich look and feel 2) light weight 3) lovely screen 3) good keyboard 4) easy to carry (small size and light weight) 5) 4GB RAM and 500 GB hard disk makes it better. Cons: 1) It gets slow after using for sometime because of processor (celeron) 2) no vents for heat to sink out (no fan to cool)... So sometimes it gets heated because of multitasking or gaming (if u want so) 3) Limited purpose of use like, web browsing, office related work (ppt, word, excel) So guys, if you have very limited use like basic office work, lot of traveling (light and small) and web browsing, it's worth going for (4GB, 500GB version).

14-15.6" laptops are light in their own right, no doubt. However, there comes a time when even they seem to weigh you down. That's when this 11.6" laptop comes in handy. Pros: 1. Full-fledged Windows 10 OS. 2. Can be placed on smaller tables. 3. Battery life superior in relation to larger laptops. Well above 8 hours on light usage. 4. 1 USB C port + 2 USB 3.0 ports+ HDMI + Micro SDXC card slot + 3.5mm headphone jack = Sufficient Input/output options Cons: 1. Not suitable for tasks other than checking e-mail, web browsing, word processing, watching movies/videos and playing music. 2. No kensington lock 3. 500 GB Hard Disk Drive should be replaced with a Solid State Drive to improve booting of windows and loading of applications and programs which are slower when using the default HDD. Conclusion: It serves the purpose well as a secondary laptop when you don't need the computing power of your primary laptop/desktop. Highly recommend this model over the E203NA-YS02 11.6 as the latter doesn't have a 2.5" SATA Bay.

I ordered this laptop for study purposes. I basically work with MS-Word and PDF viewers. Though the laptops comes with 4GB RAM as it says, its performance is much slower and it hangs every time I turn on the machine. Even within less than a couple of months the keyboard malfunctioned and it was changed by the customer service centre. As I understood, the processor is of very much low quality. Will not recommend. I am writing this review after 8 months of using it. Has used other laptop from ASUS. But this time I feel frustrated. Hope this helps you make your decision and use money for better things.

Initially couldn’t perform few tasks at a time. However, been using it now for a couple of months and very happy with its performance. Battery life is good, not overheating and good for normal daily use, watching movies, performing small tasks with Microsoft office, going through internet as well as emails etc.

Received the Laptop yesterday. On starting there is small decoloration which is visible on the screen. Otherwise the laptop is good and received in good impressive packing. Booting is too slow. Edit: Discoloration disappeared automatically. Changed Hard Disk to WD Green 240 GB SSD and booting became super quick.

1. If you are running the laptop on normal HDD then you should switch to SSD as it will give you better performance in the boot, multitasking, etc. 2. Screen Resolution is good for watching movies & online content but not FHD. 3. RAM is good for the processer it's having. 4. Please do buy from Icon as they authorized the seller for ASUS laptop. 5. Warranty would start from your day you register on the ASUS website but it would take a few hours to get reflected on My Asus app. 6. Battery life can give you a backup of 4-5 hours on 40% brightness. 7. Light weight laptop as it doesn't have fan. Cons 1. Backlight keyboard is missing 2. Normal HDD 3. Screnn could be FHD
