This is the only snap ring tool that worked! Spent all day with 4 other sets in a gearbox. Nothing worked. Ordered these as a last resort. Snap ring out in 10 minutes. Love it. Easy to use and holds the ring open.

This snap ring pliers is awesome, you can dial in the exact size and it will keep it without any struggle to maintain the setting. Works great 👍!

I used it on the C5 Corvette torque tube snap rings, and here is the general overview: 1. They did the job 2. They bend and twist as much as your squeamish stomach while you use them 3. Wear safety goggles or better yet, a shield. The tips of the pliers aren't 100% squared up, which caused the pliers to twist at the joints when compressing. I would definitely say this is a safety hazard as I had a couple pop off in the middle of both compressing and opening depending on the ring. 4. There are no "straight" tips or a proper size allen key in the tool I received. This could be because it was sold as "used, like new"...maybe not, but definitely ask before buying. The straight ones would have been handy as would the allen key. 5. GM sucks for ever incorporating these spawn of Satan snap rings in the Corvette, as does any other manufacturer. Buy life insurance before working on them with these pliers...and a rosary, prayer mat, or other religion based paraphernalia that may help, and create a last will and testament before removing the largest ring. UPDATE: Purchased the Lang heavy duty internal and external ring removal tool, and if you have the cash, just skip this and get that. No more sketchy flexing, and it has tips that fit the clips much more secure without damaging the rings. It is a must have when doing torque tubes.

Don't use this much but has saved me in a pinch a number of time. Great leverage aswell.

I needed a tool to remove some large snap rings on the rear sprockets of my enduro bikes. I found the snap ring pliers you can get from the box stores to not be adequate enough to get the larger rings. I didn't want to resort to removing the rings in an unsafe manner so I ordered these. I'm glad I did. The work very well for the job and even work on smaller rings when needed. The quality seems to be good too. I can see these lasting quite a while even with repeated use.

This thing is a lifesaver. Using it on cv joints to remove the big heavy duty clip that I usually spend 20 minutes and 20 tries trying to remove and replace. Removed it on the first try with this. This isn't meant for small clips, it won't fit, buy a cheap set for those and use this for the big ones that fight ya.

Pins slip out of snap rings. I don't understand the price vs. quality. I bought these to get inside gearboxes that dont have room for regular pliers. These feel very quality. Bit they slip and dont have 90 degree pins. The pins it comes with are too big for smaller snap rings. Overall I continue to struggle with 20 yr old pliers instead of these.

Great for big snap rings, but giving 3 stars because no one makes 5/64” tips with a smaller ends for small rings. Could very easily make a smaller set of tips and sell it separately, instead I had to waste 2 sets of large tips that came with it, making a set on the mill for smaller rings. Cmon gearwrench

This tool is truly amazing, the only thing is it is made to remove the much bigger snap rings. It will remove the smaller ones IF the snap ring eyes are far enough apart and IF you have different tips as the tips that come with the tool are also meant for the much larger snap rings

Works really great but the metal fingers aren’t strong enough and they bend

Had a big snap ring to remove with one hand only. Saved me from pulling the belly pan. The strength could be better, the pliers did look like they were twisting under pressure. The handle could have a better shape, luckily I do have great grip strength and manage to screw the handle far enough. Very happy with it. It's for large snap rings.

Heavy duty....good set!
