I wish I had a lab to test for artificial chemicals. These come from another continent, I don't know how we could answer this without lab testing. You may ask the vendor to see what answer you would get.

There are about 20+ pods. You only need 2-3 pods to make a mask to cover your whole face.

Can I germinate the seeds?

Have no idea but they should be viable. The tamarind tree is a very, very big tree.
