If you want to start as a beginner or expert level calligraphy. It is perfect tool. Pen angle and thickness of lines are superb with excellent sharp angles. Supporting accessory to clean pen is also very useful. There is no need to take classes to learn. Just buy parallel pen and start. Worth to buy. Just a caution, try to use original cartridges or water based ink only

Just Wonderful pen
I ordered this pen after lot of research . I recently started learning calligraphy on my own and since then I kept experimenting with lots of DIY parallel pens . I wanted to buy this pen but its high cost made me think again and again . Finally I ordered it one way and I tell you it's such a wonderful tool for calligraphers whether you are a beginner or have become an expert . Nice pen for drawing or calligraphy
This is a good pen for a good price. It is easy to put in the cartridge and does not clog. I tried it for drawing and it is great for getting variety in the thickness of the line. Apparently you can get cartridges of ink in many colors. Be aware, the ink is not permanent. If you use it and then add watercolor to the drawing, the ink becomes liquid. In some cases that is good. But not always.
